This quaint little place was not busy in an early afternoon on a Friday. It’s an old cottage converted into ice cream counter and antique store. The Lappert’s Ice Cream sign out front caught our attention. If you’ve ever had it in Hawaii, you want...more of the very rich ice cream. Thankfully, it was served up in generous scoops here. The service was very friendly, but the property could use some sprucing up inside and out. The ice cream is worth the stop!More

My 9-year-old granddaughter & I were up in Payson for Memorial Day weekend and went into Pine/Strawberry for the arts & crafts festival. We stopped in to get some ice cream and came out with a trinket. There are so many knick·knacks in the boutique...you can't check out everything in one visit. I wouldn't suggest taking small children into the store but if you do, be respectful and hang onto them so the3y don't break anything. The ladies running the boutique were sweet as could be and my granddaughter loves her little pewter cat trinket. We'll definitely go back on our next trip.More

This is one of those places that challenges your sensibilities in a good way. It's someones home. It's an antique shop. It's an ice cream fountain. We got ice cream for six and the ”single” scoops were massive, the ice cream delicious, and the experience...decidedly unique. Loved it.More

The Gingerbread House is an adorably eclectic stop on your way back into Payson. The ice cream counter and decor are reminiscent of a little shop our grandparents may have visited when they were younger. The Gingerbread House is charming and the ice cream was...great.More

My husband and I stopped in on Memorial weekend passing through. It's kind of an Old Town kind of place with good old fashion ice cream. Extra thick and creamy.

We live in Phoenix, so we drive through Pine just to stop here really. Quaint, cluttered, small town ice cream shop with fresh, delicious ice cream and fountain treats. Last time there, I had coffee ice cream w/ coconut and macadamia nuts (Kaui surprise?), and...it was delicious.More

Great little place to stop. Fun decor inside and random lawn furniture everywhere out front. Old sit up bar inside with traditional and unique Ice cream flavors homemade there. The gentleman we spoke to has ran this cute place for his parents for quite sometime...now and loves the little town. From New Zealand of all places. Had a lot of stories including their ten thousand dollar black walnut tree on the corner. Stop by look at the antiques, grab a soda, eat some yummy ice cream and relax out front as people just go rushing by!More
