I've been here 5 times now and everything is always so good! They get really busy on the weekends, so I recommend calling to see if you can make a reservation. I've only been here for lunch brunch and dinner and they have a pretty good size menu. Also, when you check in, you get a free coffee or mimosa on the brunch menu. I ordered their beef rib in mole sauce . I can't remember when I had such a great tasting rib, but they were huge and wasn't disappointed.
I definitely want to come back to try their dinner menu. They also have happy hour as well and very cute patio seating.

We stopped here to pick up brunch on our way through town. I called and ordered ahead in the car. The person that took my call was so nice and said they would delay putting the order in so that it was fresh when we got there. The restaurant is beautiful and has two outdoor patios! I wish we could have stayed to enjoy our food outside. The food was ready when we got there and pick up was very easy. We ordered the chimichangas, the avocado toast, and the hash cakes. I may sound melodramatic, but these hash cakes were the best hash browns I've ever had in. my. life. Crispy on the outside and smooth on the inside. I honestly could have had 12 more orders! The chimichangas were delicious. Perfectly balanced with the different ingredients -not too eggy, not too cheesy. And the sauce it was smothered in was perfect! Avocado toast was tasty too and hit the spot that morning. So glad we stopped here and will definitely stop in again!

The menu is something to see, from small tapas-like dishes to larger meals. They all sound delicious on the menu - too many to select from. So, with the direction of our waiter and the bartender (from earlier), all four of us selected something different. Each meal was so outrageously good that we had to stop talking because we were too busy eating! Think about getting reservations, especially if you want ti sit outside.

Went here for dinner in early December with a group of 6 & sat out on the east patio. The service was poor - waiting about 15 min for our server to come & take our appetizer order & same for our drinks to arrive. When our orders came, one, the chicken, was delayed about 15 min with no explanation. The food was average at best. Between the poor service & average food I would not recommend.

Very sorry for your experience. That is not typical of our standards, and I do apologize for this experience.

Have passed on this place several times, but we decided to try it. It was a really bad experience all around. The seating inside is more than cozy, it’s awkward as your more or less sharing tables that are awkwardly split just enough for one to get by and sit. It was ridiculous as the server couldn’t even come to our table. She had to lean over my shoulder. The wine was so so, with my glass getting maybe 4oz’s at best. The food was so underwhelming, at a price tag of nearly $30 a plate. The best part, (sarcastic), was some very large guy decided it would be great to come into the dining room and laugh at a decibel level that would make rock concert seem peaceful. He worked there, not sure if a manager or a cook. But this went on for several minutes. The couple who was eating next to us, close enough to hear our every word, was extremely annoyed by this loud dude. He actually apologized to them but not to us. I will not be back, ever. It’s underwhelming food. Go to China Chili across the street instead. At least the food is hot and the service is consistent.

It is in Central Phoenix, very close to where I live but it took a friend to introduce me to it. We went for brunch and sat on one of their lovely patios. The indoors is quite nice, too. The only drawback is that they don't serve lunch, just weekend brunch (menu type). Otherwise, they open at 3 for Happy Hour and then dinner.

This place is a bit on the higher end for what we would normally go to with children. They do not have a children's menu, but there are still options for most kids and the wait staff is very helpful. Kids even have a safe outside space where they can run around.

Service was superb and perfectly responsive and non-intrusive. Food was excellent. The house smoked salmon is juicy and Smokey. I could eat it every day! Perfect! My guest loved the burger, prepared exactly as ordered. Wonderful presentation of both meals. I will definitely return to try more of the unique items. Great vegan and GF options and the house smoked chicken looked amazing.

One of the most beautiful restaurants I've eaten at. We were there in December, and looking for outdoor dining. Ocotillo has a huge outdoor space with beautiful lights and trees, and an outdoor bar that must be quite a draw later at night. The tables are quite separate, and well off the street, so noise is not a problem. Imaginative salads and small plates. I had two seafood dishes, and another person in our party had the ribs- the biggest, meatiest ribs I've ever seen! All in all, we had a lovely experience there.

Wonderful spot with an unusual menu with a variety of delicious options. Everything our group had was great, although quantity varied significantly, so ask your server if that is important. The seating in the partially outdoor area we sat in was basically picnic benches, but it was not crowded so we had one to ourselves. There were other regular tables under the trees outside this area, but they were not in use at the time we were there. That would have been a nicer ambiance.

A fav dining experience in Phoenix for sure, and we landed here mostly by accident. First, it’s a pretty setting. We sat on the patio, having arrived at opening, and an hour before our reso. The waitress was efficient and really knowledgeable about all the dishes and ingredients. The smokey beet app was simply fantastic, as was the cauliflower dish. My partner got the ribs, and I got a burger from the HH menu. Both were obviously made from high quality meat. We also tried a couple of different cocktails and thought they were interesting. Finally, very dense flourless chocolate cake for desert. If there was any dish that let us down at all, that was it. It wasn’t bad, it just didn’t shine like the others. Maybe we were already too stuffed to really enjoy it!

Excellent food, great atmosphere, friendly, helpful staff. Found on some search site which gave bad directions (that's my story anyway) but we found it and were very pleased. Sat outside in March under a covered patio, which was all very nice. We ate vegetarian although there were some great looking meat dishes. Ours were perfect. Really delicious with some herbs and flavor and a little spice, in contrast to most PHX food which is very bland. Ocotillo was great. Highly recommended.

Smoked brisket on Parmesan polenta
Smoked brisket, on a bed of Parmesan polenta, topped with a fried egg, crispy onion, and brisket jus
FORK tender brisket!
The polenta is perfectly cooked, cheesy, all seasoning on point, the jus had the exact right level of beefiness
We had a lot of other drinks I didn't review because I didn't think I'd be doing a review
10/10 would recommend, would return
No pic because we fat kidded out before I could get one

My family and I shared an excellent meal at The Ocotillo! What a great space inside and out! Can’t wait to visit again in the fall/winter and enjoy the great outside patio area. We had drinks at the bar before dinner and Casey makes a mean Manhattan! We had a delicious dinner in the dining area where are server, Christine, did an excellent job of pacing our drinks, appetizer, and entrees! The steaks and ribs were delicious as was my pasta. The flourless chocolate cake was a delicious way to end the meal. Brendan, the GM, is very personable and welcoming!! We will be back!

Impressive entrance -- walkway lined with lighted trees. Several seating areas to choose from. The only disappointment was the outside seating had picnic tables. For a classy restaurant, they should have had real tables, especially since its a covered area. Nonetheless, our waiter was terrific - very attentive. The ribs were to die for. My husband also raved about his dinner.
