Having just finished crawling Bookmans, we were Hangry. And the air smelled good - so it musta been Joe’s, right??
The air was good. It was honestly better than the food. I ordered the Gyro platter, inquiring about what was included.
“More meat! Fries!” Exclaimed the friendly, apparently glad to have :any: job, cashier. Being used to -well, any other Greek restaurant in the valley- was expecting a loaded platter with lettuce, cukes, tomatoes on a soft pita and a pile of season salt sprinkled fries.
Because and ONLY because I was ::hangry:: I ate what I did.
I’ll let the picture speak for itself. No, I haven’t eaten any veggies off this.
And the fries were substantial, if soggy. The tzaziki - and there was plenty of it - was a sad, bland mixture of straight up sour cream and diced cukes, or maybe pickes. How are pickles even an ingredient here??. And refills aren’t free. As if they didn’t rape me enough with my lavish platter.
Can you say... “Meat Plank, please, hold the meal”?
-the store was clean tho. So, there’s that.

No where near what a good Philly Cheese Steak should taste like! Bland, overcooked meat, soggy fries....skip thsi place!
