Went there to get our dad’s fav dessert for Father’s Day, everything was fresh and so delicious: the Napoleon cake was as crispy as it needed and the cream between layers was delicious, the pastries are all just yummy! The staff were friendly and helpful. We will come back for sure!

Stopped in late for gelato. It was excellent. The bakery was about to close and the extraordinarily generous host gave us two almond croissants, gratis. They were superb. We will be back. Highly recommended.

Love the unique flavors of the macarons here, like lavender and rose. The standard flavors are good, too. And the freshest we have found in the Phoenix area, very like our experiences in France. The gelato is soooo creamy. Flavors change regularly, so it's always fun to try something new. Love the regulars too, like stracciatella. We stop in for dessert whenever we are in the area and have been known to purchase extra macarons for a special treat. Always a favorite with our family.

We have been coming here for a few years each year on a Spring trip. Their almond croissants are to die for. This afternoon, however, we ordered their gelato. Their dark chocolate is the best I have ever had. Having eaten gelato in Rome, freshly made, this was equally as good, if not better.
The French owners work tirelessly to make their food not only delicious, but the presentation is appealing as well.

My five year old daughter has been feeling fancy lately under the influence of Fancy Nancy. Fancy Nancy loves all things French including treats. A quick search for “macaroons Phoenix” brought me to Paris Rendez-Vous at Desert Ridge Marketplace and off we went.
It took us a few minutes to find it because it’s tucked back by the movie theater on the right hand side so if you are wondering around where all the other restaurants are, keeping walking towards the AMC theater entrance.
You could smell the deliciousness from outside and when you entered the doorway, it was visually stunning. Images of the Eiffel Tower, pink everywhere, stunning macaroon towers on display, packages of fudge, one giant case full of macaroons and one was full of gelato. My daughter was in heaven! The woman working there spoke in a French accent and greeted us with a very welcoming “bonjour!” My daughter turned to me and said “yep it’s legit!”
My daughter stood and inventoried every flavor of macaroon so she could pick exactly the right ones. She ultimately decided on chocolate, strawberry and cookies and cream with a hot cocoa. I was surprised she didn’t opt for the peanut butter and jelly one or Nutella but she was pleased with the selections she made.
The macaroons (from the incredibly small bites I was allowed to have) were the perfect consistency and tasted amazing.
We will definitely be going back to try out more flavors and next time I’m getting the gelato with an espresso.
Side note: gluten free for the win!

Sadly, my daughter and I were quite disappointed with this little shop and their macarons. We were out celebrating my birthday and decided to look for a dessert place. I'm not one for cakes and such so when I saw that this shop had macarons, we were sold.
For starters, the young woman working behind the counter was not the friendliest or warmest employee I've ever encountered. Being a representative of a shop in such a niche market, one would assume the employees would engage with patrons a little more enthusiastically. Apparently not here.
Now for the macarons themselves. The first time my daughter and I ever tried macarons we were in Paris, both at Ladurée and Pierre Hermé. They were phenomenal! We tried other shops in Paris and a couple in the states, none compared to Ladurée or Pierre Hermé though. A few months ago we were in Rome and splurged on some when we ran across a Ladurée there. So when I found this shop I immediately looked it up on TripAdvisor to see how others compared them. For $2-$3 each, I didn't want to waste my time and money. The reviews were all great, but what we tasted wasn't so great. We tried 5 different flavors. The first one we tried was vanilla. The exterior of the macaron, and when you bit into it, was much harder than what we're used to and was a tad on the tough chewy side (similar to eating a caramel), we did not like it. We tried the white chocolate next, it tasted nothing like white chocolate. We also tried the salted caramel. This was the most disappointing of them. Not only did it not taste like caramel, there was absolutely nothing salty about it. As we were eating them we kept comparing them to the flavor pamphlet they have in store making sure we were eating the right ones. To our surprise, we were, the flavors were just not right as they should be.
Unfortunately, I would not go back here nor would I recommend these macarons to friends/family. Maybe we spoiled our taste buds by trying some of the world's best macarons first. But considering they are not cheap $2-$3 each, I would much rather hold out for and treat myself to the good ones than disappoint myself with others. :-\

My friend visited this cafe after a movie. The coffee is fantastic, and the selection of macarons can't be beat. We also shared a chocolate croissant, which is the best I've had outside of Paris. I can't wait to return and enjoy an almond version, and some gelato. This establishment also offers a wonderful selection of high-end imported chocolates. The proprietor, who does the baking, was lovely and only to happy to bring our order to the patio. I can't wait to go back!

My daughter wanted a treat for her birthday. We definitely found it at Paris Rendez-Vous. My oldest daughter had the chocolate croissant and macarons. The croissant was light and fluffy and not too sweet. The macarons sweet and freshly made. My youngest daughter had the Salted Caramel gelato. According to her it was amazing; very creamy. I had a cup of Americano with an almond chocolate croissant. It was to die for! The coffee was freshly brewed and strong; just how I like it. The croissant was a perfectly balanced with the chocolate and almond flavors. It was crunchy on the outside and fluffy and light on the inside. There are so many macaron flavors to choose from you won't be disappointed. The Dulce de Leche and Blueberry Lavender ones were my favorite. The gentlemen who served us was very nice and professional. The establishment itself is clean and welcoming. You can't go wrong visiting this place for dessert.

We fly to Paris every year to get our fill of good French patisserie and chocolate, and our favorite macarons are from Jean-Paul Hevin, a "Meilleur Ouvrier de France" winner (think Olympics of pastry and chocolate) and Pierre Herme (he invented the French macaron) with Sadaharu Aoki and Maison du Chocolat close 3rd and 4th. But of course you can never bring home enough, and when we run out we come here. Their macarons are right up there with the best from Paris - just as good as Laduree, Dalloyau, and Damyel (and better than Pouchkine). I can't pay Paris Rendez-vous a higher compliment than that.
Their gelato is actually from La Dolce Vita in Mesa, which is a GREAT thing. In terms of gelato, La Dolce Vita makes the best gelato we've ever had, and it's reason enough to visit Paris Rendez-Vous. I thought Tutti Sensi was the best gelato I'd ever have, until I found La Dolce Vita.
We've also tried their chocolates, and we especially love the 85% Ghana with candied ginger - that's a real gem.
For those who are curious, avoid the macarons at Whole Foods and AJ's - those are abysmally bad. Really, if you can't make it to Paris for a box of Jean-Paul Hevin's macarons, this is the place to go. It's not just Phoenix good, it's France good. VERY highly recommended. And the service is wonderful as well. Phoenix, I hope you know how lucky we are to have this place - it'll save you a 15 hour flight to CDG and another 90 minutes in a customs line.

Tried my first macaron and went back the next day to buy 6 more. Great texture and flavor. So many options. Knowledgeable, friendly service in a cute, clean store. I have to try the gelato next. This could be dangerous this close to home! YUMMY!!

We stopped here after a lunch at the Yard House (across the courtyard) .
A darling little shop with yummy gelatos and tasty cookies & macaroons. The Sacre Coeur Shortbread cookies and macaroons were outstanding.
Very friendly staff and a fine selection of gourmet delights!
I will be back!!

I have had many gelato and macarons from around the world and more specifically Italy and France. I can say hands down their macrons are the best I have had in the U.S. and very similar if not identical to the authentic French recipe. Gelato was fantastic as well. Not too sweet like most places here. The owner was very kind and we talked for a while about his journey here. Being French myself, it is rare to find French entrepreneurs but when I do, I know they are here to work hard and they take pride in what they do. I wish he would open a location in our city as I am just a "tourist" in the Phoenix area.

Purchased a small box of six macarons in six different flavors. My favorites were the Earl Grey and blueberry lavender. Very sweet and delicate. A must try.

Wife and I stopped in for dessert and coffee. We had the macaroons and gelato with our coffee. The macaroons were the best I've ever had and the gelato was great. This is really a unique little French bakery.

My husband, myself, and our 7 year old all went and rverything we got was incredible! I had two pieces of different dark chocolates and one orange chocolate. The orange chocolate was the best. We also got gelato. My husband got the snicker gelato and I had the strawberry and it was great. However, the best thing we had were the macaroons. We have been to Paris and had macaroons there but this place is hands down the BEST MACAROON maker ever!!! It's located in the desert ridge marketplace and is a MUST if you are going to be in Phoenix. Our picky seven year old chose three different ones which were blood orange, mango, and rose. The mango was the best of his. The blood orange was very tasty. I had the lemon just because I love everything lemon. If it makes my mouth pucker it's perfect. I was kicking myself for only getting one. I've had macaroons before but these were soooooo good!
