We have going here for the past 10+ years. Food always good and the menu has minor tweets that keeps it the same, but refresh’s it at the same time.

We ordered food as take away for a large group and were very happy. Not too expensive, delicious, and authentic. The vegetarian cactus tacos were delicious. The vegetarian mushroom tacos and quesadillas were ok. Sides were great, overall great dinner.

This restaurant offers a whole lot of choices on their menu. I don’t usually order a torta since Mexican food to me means tortilla and not bread. But I went ahead and ordered just that because of the great reviews here. Unfortunately, it wasn’t as...great as it has been described. And for the meat that’s supposed to have been grilled, it was greasy for my taste. It’s location isn’t that great, either. The vicinity did not feel safe at all.More

Food is always amazing here. From the kids meals to appetizers! Aguas frescas are delicious and so refreshing. Wish they did refills on them tho.

If you want a truly authentic experience, this is the place. Their tortas are outstandingly tasty and large. Excellent sauces. Though they do not serve alcohol, you will find distinctively delicious drinks. I loved a frozen drink made with mango and oranges with drizzled chili...sauce and a chili powdered dusted rim. It was unlike anything I ever had, sweet with a bit of a kick. I can't wait to have another one on my next trip.More

We were looking for a quick lunch and this turned out to be a great find. Prices were very reasonable, service was prompt, and the food was tasty, though not highly spiced. The Chorizo Burrito was very good with avocado and refried beans inside. My...wife had the Chicken Quesadilla and it was huge and loaded with real chicken pieces. We will return!More

I have eaten Tortas all over Mexico, from Tiajuana to the DF to Playa del Carmen. With over 300 Mexican restaurants in this metro area I had to try this one! The place is big, more than 50 tables with basic furnishings. The service was...rapid and efficient. We came for lunch midweek so it was not too busy. If your looking for a fancy, expensive, upscale Mexican go somewhere else. However if you want to eat bacis, tradional, family style food come here.! The menu in addition to 25 types of Tortas includes Sopes, Huaraches, Palmbazo, Gorditas, Quesadillas, Platillo, Burros,Tacos, Mariscos, Chilaquiles and much, much more. Don't forget to order a fruit milkshake(Licuados). I had the "Rey" Tortoa, it was more the 6" high! I eat half the next day. It was loaded, juicy and savoury. The boys had Tacos that were OK.More

Awesome authentic Mexican food ! A few tables inside -small place . I'd imagine this place getting packed at lunch hour . We started with the tostada de ceviche and the tostada de tinga with guacamole- perfect . Next was Torta del principe and huaraches...con tingo de pollo with grilled cactus . Portions are very big . The dinner was outstanding...the meat had great flavor . The torta came with a raw vegetable side and grilled onion/jalapeño. The cactus reminded me of string beans with more flavor . The table hot sauce was great and they also brought out a Verde sauce and a roja sauce - both awesome! Also ordered a horchata- yummy ! No alcohol served . Didn't try dessert but they sounded good . This restaurant beats out all of the uppity Mexican fusion/artisan/hipster/wannabe authentic places at triple the price . It's the real deal !More

Anyone who has visited this place and didn't think it was amazing, has no idea what good authentic Mexican food tastes like. We walked in and we were the only non Hispanic people there, which already tells me it's the real deal. It's small and...plain but the food is big and bright and delicious. The service was great, she was so nice and helped us decide what to get and all our choices were on point. We will be visiting this place any time we want Mexican!!!!!!!!!More

We stopped on the way to the ballpark, based on the good reviews we read. We were a bit skeptical, as the area is not the most attractive. The inside of the restaurant is lovely, though, and the food was so delicious. I had a...shrimp dish which made me realize how much better shrimp could be, than what I had been eating. I can't say if they were fresher, or prepared better, but they were amazing. The others in my party loved the tortas (mexican sandwiches) they ordered. I loved the interior decor, especially the row of pineapples waiting to be made into delicious drinks -- everything just said homemade and fresh. Very reasonably priced.More
