This is the Mel's Diner that you see (sign outside) for the TV show Alice. The inside had pictures of the whole cast in various places. The breakfast was actually very good here, even though the building did look a little rundown on the outside.

As soon as you walk in you can almost hear Alice say, Kiss my Grits Mel. It looks and feels just like the old TV show. The food is homey, hot, and lots of it. You gotta come check this place out when in the...More

If you want to get away from chain or hotel breakfasts and appreciate time travelling, you have to go to Mel's diner, if only for the sun battered sign that has been up since the 50's. And none of the place looks updated since, except...More

The food was decent. Pretty much what you would expect from a small dinner. Servers were friendly and efficient.

I’ll be honest...I pulled into this place and almost left before going in. The place is pretty run down and looks like a sketchy area. There wasn’t that many people eating there. I was probably one of three, so it didn’t take long to get...More

If I recall it is like Monday to Sat 6-3pm and Sunday 7-2pm The food is good and nice service, a real retro diner where the show Alice is based. Fun stuff!
