On vacation with close friends for a golf week in Arizona with our base being at the Legacy Resort. Following a long day of travel we decided to try Comedor Guadalajara based on reviews that it had good authentic Mexican. We found that it does indeed. Located a short distance south from Phoenix downtown it is a very large seemingly... More

Recommended to us by a local who clearly knows his Mexican food. This place was great. There was a long line at 2:00 on a Saturday afternoon but it moved incredibly fast. The service was very friendly and prompt, the food had a home made taste that you don't get very often, generous portions, very hot entrees, and a really... More

Hidden away in South Central Phoenix...Full, natural authentic flavors here. The service was delightful. Comfortable traditional seating. A lot of food for your money. Next time we will share.

We visited Comedor Guadalajara with a group of 18 people before a sporting event in Phoenix recently. We were looking for a very traditional, Sonoran style Mexican food restaurant and Comedor Guadalajara received good reviews on Trip Advisor - so we decided to give it a try. The restaurant is large! It was a great choice for such a large... More

First time dining here. The food was actually amazing, was a little nervous about the green chili only because I'm from New Mexico (hatch green chili). I had the enchilada plate with a shredded beef taco. Overall service the okay. We had a little of a wait time for our table. If you asked me where's a great Mexican spot... More

Came by on a Saturday night when it was supposed to still be open. Closed without explanation. Might try again later but there's so many other good places in Phoenix I doubt it.

This is by far the best authentic Sonoran Style Mexican Food in Phoenix. Yes, Barrio Cafe and Mexico are delicious alternatives for "upscale" Mexican food, but if you just looking for excellent tacos, enchiladas and the very best salsa, rice and beans, then Comedor Guadalajara stands alone. You would have to travel all the way to Tucson to find any... More

This is a family favorite restaurant. It's in a rather industrial part of Phoenix and in a very unassuming building. Inside the seating area is quite large with several large rooms. with colorful decorations. Every time I've gone it's been packed with families, groups of friends and couples. The menu is extensive but with mostly traditional items and lots of... More

Really enjoyed our dinner here! A short cab ride from our downtown hotel. We loved the chips and nice spicy salsa. Since we could not decide on one thing, we had combo platters with taco, burrito and enchilada. All were amazing. And then churros for dessert. Too much food, but it was so good we could not hold back. Price... More
