We had excellent service in the Tavern and then went to the restaurant for a meal. The NY Strip was delicious and the service was great. Highly recommend making a long evening out of it!

Perhaps because we'd heard so much about the restaurant, we felt even more let down by our meal. But one thing we did agree on, it wasn't that good. Our server was fine at the beginning but things went downhill as the meal progressed. We started by sharing a bottle of wine accompanied by complementary fried chickpeas. The chickpeas were... More

This place is great, from the bar and grill to the wine store to the nicer restaurant. We have been to all of them and love it. It is one of our go to places when we want a great meal or have to even impress out of town clients. the food and service is outstanding and the atmosphere is... More

I've eaten at Marks for many years , my wife and I just started to dine there again. Our experience from the host to the service to the food, all are excellent , Mark only hires the best . They have a very good bar and cocktail program as well as a world class wine menu. Our dinner started with... More

We stopped at Tarbel's without reservations on a weekend evening around 7:30 PM. The place was buy, but not packed and we got a table right away. The restaurant is not huge, so it felt comfy and cordial. Our server was very pleasant and did a fabulous job of explaining the menu, after she had delivered our cocktails. There was... More

Chef Tarbell knows what he does well and sticks with it. He's apparently created a niche that seemingly only Tarbell's can satisfy in a market that is arguably fine dining challenged. Oh yeah, there are higher end restaurants that out perform Tarbell's in one way or another but, overall, this is about the best you're going to do in Phoenix... More

I went to this restaurant last night with my family and we had a great experience from the appetizers, bacon candy, buratta with heirloom tomatoes, the incredible mussels, rock shrimp with a perfect salsa verde, to the entrees, and on to desserts. The service was spot on. We will be returning to Phoenix every few months, for the grandkids and... More

Excellent menu, and GREAT service. Our server was friendly, helpful and certainly new the menu items, and made great suggestions. Extensive wine list; the prices were however a bit high. Wine was served at the proper temperature and in very nice Ridel stemware. All in all, an perfect meal. Food prices were very reasonable for the high quality.

Returned to Tarbell's after many years away as a friend chose this restaurant for a birthday dinner. I now remember why there had been so many years since my last visit. Our service was a bit spotty; granted we were in no hurry, but our waiter seemed to forget us intermittently. The wine by the glass menu is limited, the... More

I think this is the best food I have had in Arizona! I ordered the pork tenderloin and have never had it so good. My husband had the pea risotto and said the flavors were wonderful. My bro in-law had the ribbon pasta and liked it as well.
