Nicely located in the Arizona Center in an open air mall downtown which is beautiful with lush landscaping. Some pricey entrees but there is lots of price ranges and options to pick from. They had terrific 3 flavor chips and a wonderful smoky chipole type of salsa to start. All of our food was fantastic and flavorful. Our waitress "Topeka"... More

We had been our car for hours and wanted to walk to dinner. The hotel clerk recommended the Canyon Cafe. It was within 4 blocks and was easy to locate. The cafe decor is very nice with a nice view of a plaza area. Our server was very attentive and the food was great. My daughter and I both had... More

When we plan a trip to downtown Phoenix Canyon Cafe is our destination for lunch. We always order "Panchos" chicken enchiladas of sorts made with flour tortillas. The staff is always attentive, the food is always tasty and the price is reasonable.

Came in after going to a mid-day movie. Mid-week and mid afternoon and we had the place almost all to ourselves. A few sitting at the bar and a table of ladies out for a late lunch. Service was quick and friendly, food was fast. Good and hot. Something a bit different than standard Mexican or American choices. Blackened fish... More

Came to this place on a whim, boy am I glad we did. I had the chicken tinga flautas & my wife had panchos enchiladas. Both dishes were excellent & with a unique southwestern flare. Crema sauces & they even brought us white chocolate tamales, compliments of the chef! Highly recommend it.

Colleagues and I were in Phoenix for a conference and someone recommended this restaurant. You won't be disappointed! Food was really delicious. Homemade chips and salsa were such a treat - not the usual-tasting chips you eat on other Mexican restaurants. And if you enjoy margaritas, you must try one of theirs. Outstanding!

My wife and I had a great lunch here during our short visit of Phoenix. Ordered the Crispy Shrimp Taco, the Tableside Guacamole and Panchos Enchiladas Platter. Definitely recommended dishes! We definitely will come back when we visit Phoenix!

By far, the best thing I had was the homemade chips and salsa. I could have made a meal off that. I had a salad, which was good but a little pricey for a salad. Good atmosphere. I would eat here again.

All I can tell you about Canyon Cafe's food is that the chips and salsa were very good. There was a spicy seasoning on the chips that made you want to eat a lot of them. That was a problem because after eating them, all we wanted was water....or better yet, margaritas. No one approached our table for almost 15... More

After you get off the plane in SKy Harbor from anywhere, run don't walk ( ok... Drive) to the Canyou cafe. We sit in Buffalo dreaming about lunch here, off of the lovely Arizona Center plaza with its fountains and palm trees..they hand make their own multi flavor tortilla chips which are highly addictive and for their salsa they roast...
