Great place to stop for Mexican food! The chips and salsa are amazing, the drinks are strong and delicious and the menu is full of very reasonably priced dishes. Our waitress was very nice and quite attentive to our large group. I ordered the fish tacos and they were wonderful. Actually, all 9 of us loved what we ordered. We'd... More

We were meeting family visiting the area and we were looking for a place that had unique and tasty food. Canyon Cafe did that. We are not familiar with downtown Phoenix so going by the gps address, it took us a while to realize that it was in a type of shopping complex and then we had to find parking... More

It was actually quite dead when we visited for a late lunch on Saturday. That whole area (Arizona Center) seemed to be very quiet. It could be that parking is an issue, but it's just hard to say. I mention this only because there were no greeters when we first walked in. It took a while to flag someone down... More

Located in Arizona Center in heart of Downtown Phoenix near Convention Center and sports venues. Unique take on standard southwestern food. Been there several times -- never been disappointed. Prices a little high but worth it. This time had the Chile-Rubbed Sirloin with spinach and chile mashed potatoes. Was delicious!!! Will validate parking in Arizona Center Garage.

Best guacamole I have ever had. Made fresh table side. All of the food was excellent. Very tasty not too much spice. Service was great as well. Would recommend to anyone looking for great southwestern food.

Read the reviews and gave it a shot. The chips and salsa were really excellent. Had the chicken quesadilla and it was quite tasty. Friendly bartender who accommodated a tv station change request.

The black and blue quesadilla is my fav! Love to meet friends here when in the area. The chips are so good! They mix it up with about four different types. There's usually a cute bartender working too. Not essential, but a plus! Haha. Everyone has always been very nice to me every time I've visited.

Nicely located in the Arizona Center in an open air mall downtown which is beautiful with lush landscaping. Some pricey entrees but there is lots of price ranges and options to pick from. They had terrific 3 flavor chips and a wonderful smoky chipole type of salsa to start. All of our food was fantastic and flavorful. Our waitress "Topeka"... More

We had been our car for hours and wanted to walk to dinner. The hotel clerk recommended the Canyon Cafe. It was within 4 blocks and was easy to locate. The cafe decor is very nice with a nice view of a plaza area. Our server was very attentive and the food was great. My daughter and I both had... More

When we plan a trip to downtown Phoenix Canyon Cafe is our destination for lunch. We always order "Panchos" chicken enchiladas of sorts made with flour tortillas. The staff is always attentive, the food is always tasty and the price is reasonable.
