Looks like a run down spot but knew we were in the right place when local police officers came in. Food was good, not much for ambiance.

There are many wonderful things to eat at this local establishment, but my personal favorite is the Oaxaca Special, but you have to get it double-wrapped. Their tortillas are huge here, but to avoid the inevitable 'blow-out' on your burrito, they will wrap the burrito with an extra tortilla to hold everything together. Their buttered tortillas are also a really... More

Picked this place for 2 reasons, proximity to the airport and reviews on TripAdvisor. The next time we are in Phoenix we will eat here again. The place was so busy at lunch that we actually ate in our car. We both had chimichangas. Probably the best chimichangas we have ever had.

Well, what can I say. I'll say this place has alot of personality! Really a local place to eat, where you can get authentic mexican food. Glad we stopped to get a couple of burritoes.

Stopped on our way from Tucson to sedona. Everyone had burritos from chorizo, machca, red chili and beans. Needless to say that we all enjoyed it

This is certainly not a fine dining experience. Food is served in styrofoam serving containers or on paper plates. No alcohol served. The building is run down and doesn't look like much. The food is excellent. Fresh homemade tortillas made daily. Great lunch spot. Most people buy the tortillas by the dozen to take home. They always have a huge... More

First of all, I am a tortilla snob. Sometime in the early 80's a friend introduced me to the best tortillas outside of Mrs. Solerez's kitchen and quite a delicious green chile burro as well. I've in turn introduced many people since. Carolina's has done some growing over the years and without losing quality, those tortillas and that green chili... More

They have the greatest Mexican food with a great menu and open from 7am until 7 pm daily. It's hard to decide what you want because it's all so good, they do have some wait around the lunch time but it's worth it.

There are several good chimichangas to be found on the Valley but nothing compares to the ones served at the original Carolina's. There is absolutely no pretense here, with the barest amenities and decorations, but the chimis here are the best, the thinnest tortillas you can find and served WITHOUT the annoying sauces found in so many places. And be... More
