To start with the positive, the food was excellent, perfectly cooked and professionally served. (Great waitress) But! This was a business dinner and there were 9 of us. We agreed when making the reservations that we would split the tables and sit at two that were next to each other. We all arrived together at the same time. They sat 5 of us in one booth and refused to sit the other booth of 4 even though the table was cleared and set. One of us walked out and asked the hostess to please sit the rest of the group and she refused. This went on for over 15 minutes, our waitress wanted us to order, but we told her that we were waiting for the rest of out party. This refusal to sit them, which they eventually did in that same open table that was open when we arrived was very off putting. I would personally never give them my business again or recommend for business.

My husband and I went to Blue Hound for lunch when we were in town for a conference. Nice atmosphere. The tacos we had were good. I would go back and try other options. I gave 4 stars as we weren't greeted by anyone and took awhile to get someone's attention. It wasn't too busy as there were open tables. Our server was the bartender and he made sure to tell us how busy he was repeatedly. Nice guy though.

I was staying at the Kimpton; got in late after the Dodgers game, ate there because it was recommended by the person at the desk of the hotel. The food was good and at a very fair price. I had a cheese burger and side salad. The food is a very fair price for the quality, the drinks are good and the service is excellent.

Two couples out for a mid-week dinner based on recommendation. The restaurant ambiance is welcoming. Our group was unimpressed with most items ordered. The Lamb Bolognaise was ordinary tasting - no distinct taste & thick texture. My husband's "8 ounce sirloin" sure seemed small (he typically orders this size whenever he has a steak). He reported that the steak tasted "old" & grisly. The requested medium rare was medium, & the meat tasted "chalky" and "chewy". The mains do not come with sides, so two sides were selected. The fall vegetables were uninspired & lacking flavour. The pepper shishito was fine - the only acceptable tastes experienced at the table. The service was lacklustre. Items came sporadically. After the meals were received the server never came back to ask about meal acceptability. My husband never complains but will respond to a server's inquiry, so didn't report the concerns about his steak. In that we were hosting guests we didn't want to "make a fuss" & seek out the server's attention. However, upon leaving the premises, we all shared our disappointment with the whole restaurant experience. There are many quality places to choose from in Phoenix & this visit to Blue Hound & the $$$ bill would cause us to suggest you explore these alternatives.

do not go!!!!!!!!!!!! Ordered a tenderloin, medium rare for $65 and it was cold and well done. The side was of unknown origin and could not be cut through with a steak knife and the carrots looked like they were taken out of the garbage. It was obvious it was not edible, then some snotty manager came by. I told her nothing was wrong and to leave me alone (looked like the lady for lack of more accurate terms was going to murder me). The food was so obviously bad, the fact they were not truly apologetic was incredible. There is something wrong at this place.

6:00 reservation, even if the restaurant is empty, (it was) they do not seat you until reserved time. Oddly, we went a bit early to enjoy a cocktail first. They missed out on that income. Service is an issue here, employee turnover or whatever, we needed to ask for drinks, place an order, ask where our meals were, and for the check. All that being said, the food was good. The calamari was swimming in grease, I ordered the steak salad to avoid more grease, it had a huge pile of greasy onion rings placed in the center of the plate. Ugh.. The steak was good, but I wanted a salad, not a steak with charred lettuce on the other side of the plate. There's potential here, but they need a lot of fine-tuning.

Stayed at the Hotel Palomar and enjoyed a Thurs night Happy Hour at the Hound. Great selection of drinks, really liked the Brussel Sprouts and grill cheese was the bomb. Pass on the bacon popcorn - a small miss -but great service all around.

Chose this restaurant for breakfast twice during my week stay in Phoenix. The food was excellent, presentation was amazing. Not your standard breakfast joint. Creative choices which are delicious to eat and pleasing to look at. Large portions. The atmosphere is very comfortable, decor is a bit industrial, library mix very tastefully done. Service was good. Would visit this restaurant again.

A delightful place to enjoy a small but inspired menu supported by an equally small but well curated wine list. Ambiance was cool, lean design, well spaced tables. In this time of covid social distancing makes for quiet dining, a huge plus. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, great service.

Friendly and fairly prompt service. Goo drink, but the food was sub par and way overpriced. Don’t expect much shrimp on your shrimp flatbread. I’d say good atmosphere-here, friendly staff, but overpriced and under delivered on product. Not a bad place to grab a cocktail, though

We planned a girls night with a fancy dinner and cocktails. Blue Hound did not disappoint. Our server Colleen was awesome and the hostess Alexis gave us a great recommendation on the salmon. We will be coming back very soon.

The food was amazing!! It is a great spot to have brunch before a baseball game. Only 4 stars because the service was slow, the noise levels were high and the Mimosas did not have enough flavor
