Once you walk in you smell the smell of sweet sweet food. Speaking of food the food is delicious! The pancakes are the best. The drinks are very good a nice. The Place itself is amazing the lighting is beautiful like I said.
Having lived in Moon Valley for years I decided to bring a friend for breakfast here. We were greeted and seated on a Saturday morning. Got our coffee and asked what was good. Heard "everything" which is not a good sign. Looked over the menu...and asked about the corned beef "is it real or canned?" Waitress giggled and said she would ask. Said it was real so I ordered the omellette. Small strands of corned beef, flattened in egg and cheese. Hash browns that were curiously rock hard on the outside and warmish on the inside. OK coffee. Didn't know that you paid at the counter. So, OK food for a truck stop.More
Went to lunch with some friends of mine. We visited the Moon Valley Cafe and were very pleased. You can tell the same people eat there often. Everyone seems to know each other. It was 1:00 Pm and the place was pretty full. Very friendly...atmosphere. good service and food and reasonable priced.. We had the Reuben Sandwich on rye with fries and Swizz cheese $9.99 The homemade Chili for $5.95, no wonder it is voted the best chilli in Phoenix. The Veggie Omlette for $7.99. All meals were great. This is a hidden-in-plain-site gem of a restaurant facing Thunderbird Road at 7th Street. After going there for a great lunch with friends, I had to go back with my husband to try the breakfast. It was well worth it! Delicious, fresh and hearty, and...a reasonable price. I had the brisket omelette, filled with shaved beef not salty and plentiful. My husband had the veggie omelette and it was chock-full also. And the coffee was good! We were not the only folks out for a quick meal during the week as the place was just about full when we left. The service is excellent, attentive, and they keep the coffee coming.More
Found this diner by searching tripadvisor and it was a great find. A varied menu and friendly service with perfect sized meals. The cake and pies looked great too but we didn’t have room! Highly recommend!

We were in Phoenix and I happened to spot this café when driving by. So glad I did. What a great place. We stopped in for breakfast. The food came quite quickly and it was very good. We could taste the freshness in all of...the ingredients. The service is very friendly. Every staff member there was upbeat and happy. We liked it so much we went several times. I had an omelette and it was above par. My husband had their meat lovers skillet and said it was great. We both had bacon and eggs a couple of times. They never leave your coffee cup empty. This will be our go-to breakfast spot the next time we visit Phoenix.More
I hadn't been to this Cafe in many years. When a friend asked where we could meet for breakfast I thought, why not try it again. We we're both happily surprised. The food is good, hearty and inexpensive. Where else can you get a simple...2 egg breakfast (with toast and choice of potatoes or fruit) for under $5?! Their pancakes are massive. Our server was very personable and deserved a great tip for her efforts.More
