This is the best of its kind. Real Mexican, non Tex-Mex, cooking. The restaurant is set in an old turn of the century house, very simple, and small. The decor is chic Mexican funky, and fun to look at. The color scheme is festive. All of the food, I am told, is home made, and it tastes that way. The... More

This is the original America's Taco Shop and still the best. Slicked-up franchise locations with the same name and essentially the same menu are starting to pop up in other parts of the Phoenix metro area. I still prefer the original Corrales family-owned locations in central Phoenix (this one and the one at 7th Ave. & Campbell) for their character,... More

I am a self-confessed Mexican food junkie. After years of living in Texas, I am spoiled in my demand for high-quality Mexican food and well-prepared, well-seasoned meats in particular. This place has a very small menu and an even smaller seating area but damn, the food is good. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. They... More

So low key, a variety of food choices, light tasty meats, my favorite is the Al Pastor quesadilla (pork). It has fresh grilled pineapple mmmm, delicious! There are 3 locations; 2 in Central Phoenix and 1 in Tempe. I have lived in Phoenix for 30 years, these restaurants are such a nice reprieve from heavier food. You can't beat the... More

Authentic and delicious! The cuatro of chips, salsa, guacamole and beans is a must with each one being singularly fantastic. The americas corn is a MUST. And both the tacos al pastor and carne asada are phenomenal! I highly recommend this place!

Just a few choices (carne asada and pork), but both are incredible. And the beans have no lard. Highly recommended to sit on the patio with a few tacos and negro modelo.

The same owners as 7th Ave location, unfortunately management has changed there, and apparently the place is run by a bunch of kids. sure, they are nice and a few have good service skills, but not all that organized, even though they seem to try. Looks as if they have spent a bunch of money on POS system, nice computerized... More

I love this place! This is an authentic Mexican taco shop. it has great street corn, amazing carne asada burritos and cheviche on Fridays and Saturdays. yum, I love this place! I order the XL burrito (it's not huge like a chipotle burrito) and I add cojita cheese to it. It's so delicious! You definitely have to try this place... More
