The location was convenient. The service was excellent. The food preparation was and quality were excellent! I recommended this restaurant to colleagues at the conference I was attending! I would definitely return on any future business trip...

I have eaten at Sierra Bonita a number of times and it never disappoints. The food is consistently good, not overly spicy just tasty. The Carne Asada is my favorite, but every thing I have had there is really good. The atmosphere is casual but polished. An overall reliable and pleasant dining experience.

I'd like to say "great" and score a "5" but it's just not there. We had a large group and the private rooms had nice atmosphere. Good service and good prices. In my opinion, the food was okay. Carne asada was fair. Overall a good restaurant and I appreciate the servers who handled our group.

My husband and I were here on our first night in Phoenix. After seeing good reviews here and being nearby to our hotel after flying all day, it was a good choice. We noticed all business signs tend to be low to the ground here, and we missed the turn once but it wasn't super hard to find. Even though... More

One of the first things you notice when you step into SB is the great ambiance. Dining in great, want to eat at the Bar better and an enclosed patio with a fire place for those special occasions. Southwest Dining in Central Phoenix. My #1 go to if you are dining at SB is the South West Benedict. I am... More

It is 'sort of' New Mexican but very different, unique and flavorful. Great use of spices. Each dish was different from Roasted Salad to mini quesidillias. Entrees like stacked enciladas to chili pork were unusual and extremely tasty. Go try this one!

I came here on the advice of Sean at the nearby ZenYard Guesthouse. He didn't steer me wrong. Food here is excellent. Phoenix was the first leg of a driving trip through the Southwest. I ordered the green chile pork roast. Apparently, I've now learned, green chiles are big thing in Arizona and New Mexico! For the rest of my... More

Great locally owned restaurant; more sophisticated Mexican food Friendly folks. The Carne as ads and butter milk chicken are specialties, but they always have seafood specials and do a great job giving them a southwestern twist.

We took a detour to get around traffic and just happened to see the restaurant sign. We were peckish (slightly hungry) so went in during happy hour (3-6 pm) and had drinks and snacks. Hostess was efficient, server was right there and water was refilled promptly. We ordered their happy hour food of green chili Mac & cheese and their... More

We had a large party for brunch on Sunday before we flew out of AZ. The server did a great job with the group. The food was delicious and prepared and plated well. We had two teens with us and they found things on the menu that were appealing to them as well. It was a very positive dining experience.

The Sierra Bonita Grill is named after the historic Sierra Bonita Ranch in South Eastern Arizona. Founded by Henry Hooker in 1872, the Sierra Bonita Ranch was known for it’s hospitality and innovative ranching methods. We would like to celebrate the spirit represented by Mr. Hooker and other pioneer ranches throughout Arizona with our restaurant and hope to continue the tradition of great food and hospitality. Our menu reflects the hearty cooking style of Southern Arizona ranches, many of which were started by Spanish and Mexican families. We will continue to explore the ongoing Mexican and Latin influences on this area’s culture and food. Patio seating available to accommodate 30 people.
