El Chorro has a beautiful setting with a large capacity. There were two private events going on the evening that we ate dinner there, but our dining still felt intimate. Great food, from salads to entrees to desserts. My wife had a pork loin special while I had the beef stroganoff, one of their classic dishes. They were both 5 stars (as were both salads). The wine list offered a wide range of options at reasonable prices and the service (Joe) was again 5 star - attentive without being a distraction. This was one of the most enjoyable meals we have had in a long time. We will definitely go back and would recommend El Chorro to anyone without reservation.

Wow! Exceptional Meal, Extraordinary Service & Ambiance!
Absolutely the best meal in the city this trip. I was in town for eight days during collector car week. It had been a few years since I have eaten at El Chorro. I forgot what I was missing.
I started with the wedge salad with blue cheese and bacon. It was perfect. The bacon in small crispy bites along with the blue cheese a nice combination. It’s one of my favorite salads, well executed.
I ordered the cod over a crab risotto with asparagus which was award winning in my opinion. The cod served in a perfect little thick slab, browned and salted to perfection with a tarragon burre blanc sauce. Amazing!
The risotto was nice too.
Others at the table had the filet, lobster bites and salmon. All were exceptional, I personally enjoyed the cod. It was very memorable.
I pre-selected wine, the Orrin Hatch Seven Deadly Sins. We enjoyed it.
We passed around a few desserts, flourless chocolate cake and ice cream, beet ginger cake and the vegan carrot cake, all very tasty.
El Chorro is a really well managed restaurant in my opinion.
From the reservation follow up, confirmation to seating it was flawless.
Our waiter realized we were enjoying our conversation, so they allowed us to take our time - three hours and fifteen minutes.
I highly recommend El Charro!

A lovely dining room both inside and out. Service was great. A good mix of food choices and a wine list which had a good variety of price points. The salad to start was excellent and the skinless bass was cooked to perfection. My wife had Trout and it was equally as good. Generous portions of vegetables and top notch service.

A group of us went for dinner here. The meal was adequate but not spectacular. The value was acceptable for what was delivered in the basic contract. The additional apres dinner drinks were $100 each plus 24% tip. That's ridiculous. A year prior we got a superior meal and more drinks at a much lower cost at The Cliff House in San Fran. I feel that our group was overcharged by at least $500 for what we received at el Chorro. We will not be back.

Food and atmosphere was great. Had been there many times in the past with large groups. However tonight was awful with preordering appetizers and desserts it should have been very easy for the restaurant as we were so prepared. People were tired of waiting and just left.

We had made dinner reservations via Open Table and had a lovely outdoor table on the patio right beside a fire pit. The setting was beautiful, the service was great and the food was very good. We tried the fried lobster bites which were very tasty and we saved our sticky buns for dessert! I would definitely return to El Chorro.

Very disappointed! I have been eating at El Chorro since 1973. It is a classic, iconic restaurant with incredible atmosphere inside and out. But something is happening that is not good. Management seems to have forgotten what El Chorro stands for. We were very disappointed in the selection of Prosecco and the lack of French or Italian wines by the glass. Classic entrées, such as the Chateaubriand, have been removed from the menu. There are very few appetizers and salads to choose from, in fact, my wife decided not to have one because nothing sounded appetizing. We both ordered the filet mignon and hers was very good, but mine arrived and looked like a small medallion. I sent it back asking for a reasonable size steak, and it took 25 minutes for my new steak to arrive. It was not very good. Management’s response was very disappointing and did not leave us with confidence that any of these issues would be addressed in the near future.

I've been coming here periodically for the last 40 years. So I was a little concerned that the owners had gone too corporate, losing the uniqueness that made this restaurant special. So having not been since pre covid, we decided to celebrate my birthday with a Sunday brunch. I should not have been worried as this is still one of the best PV resorts. Patio seating is excellent. Plenty of space and privacy in a pleasant courtyard. Seating was prompt. Location was great. The wait staff, particularly Wendy, was superlative. Every server was polite, efficient and in a good mood. This can tell a lot about a place when the employees look and act like they like being there. For the brunch, I had simply the best Huevos Rancheros I"ve ever eaten. The breakfast Tamales were also excellent. We accompanied the food with the Bubbles and Juice mimosas which used an acceptable champagne for the price. A nice little chocolate cake was served complimentary to acknowledge my birthday. Simply put, a great dining experience. Thanks El Chorro!

We sat out on the patio, which has great views, and the vibe was super energetic. Instead of handing out menus, the table had tiny sheets with a QR code to scan with your phone and that brought up their menu. I love how more restaurants are starting to do this! They have a great cocktail list and their wine list was extensive and offered something for all budgets. We ended up ordering a few bottles of the En Route Pinot Noir through tour the night...it’s one of our favorites. There were many delicious options to choose from for dinner. I am a huge short rib fan so naturally I went with their braised beef short ribs...and it was phenomenal!! It came with a garlic potato puree, garden carrots & haricots vert. Seriously might have been the best beef short ribs I’ve had anywhere!! Oh, and their sticky buns are out of this world...make sure to try those!! The service was also on point all night. We all had an incredible experience and cannot wait to come back!!

This is a beautiful restaurant with lots of outdoor seating, made pleasant in the cool evening with heaters.
Dinner was delightful. I got one of the nightly specials and it was really delicious!!! They had a really nice variety, including pasta, big meat plates, etc. I had the squash soup as an appetizer and it was amazing. A hint of sweet, so if you're not into that, they choose something else!
We had lovely cocktails and wine, and enjoyed visiting in a nice quiet, warm atmosphere. Definitely a highlight!

Four of us had brunch there on Sunday afternoon . As always, the outdoor seating and service was excellent. However, the food did not meet previous standards. Three at our table were very satisfied. I ordered eggs Benedict and had to send them back twice because the whites of the eggs were not cooked. After two try’s, I wanted nothing else as everyone at the table was finished. They gave me a complimentary shrimp cocktail, which was very good. Also, the cinnamon buns that they are known for, were which are usually fabulous, were hard and not warm. We will try them again as this might have been an off day for the kitchen.

We absolutely Love El Chorro , you can not beat the atmosphere there especially out on the patio on a spring or fall night. The food is outstanding, I have never eaten anything there that i did not love. The wine list is extensive with something for everyone's taste and budget. The service has always been exceptional. If you are looking for something extra special you can't go wrong with El Chorro.

We went to El Chorro's brunch for our wedding anniversary. We had a great experience. The setting is beautiful and the restaurant itself is really nice and has a lot of interesting photos. The food was delicious. My wife and I both had the Best of Both Worlds eggs benedict, which was one with beef filet and the other with a crab cake. The steak was better. It would be better if the crab cake was made with lump crab meat rather than the shredded crab, but the crab cake benedict was still good. It was accompanied with excellent breakfast potatoes and small breakfast salad. We also received assorted breakfast breads, which were delicious. Because it was our anniversary, the restaurant also gave us two glasses of champagne and a small dessert to share. The service was very good and the server was really nice. Drink refills were a little slow in coming, but that is a very minor concern. All in all, a great meal and worthy of an overall five-star rating. We will be back.

Terrible menu for the week. The barramundi was awful, and the meat on the ribs (item from regular menu) was so tough that even with steak knife it could not be cut.
Then the next day I got a vm asking to provide feedback on my evening’s meal. I called the number provided, left a message and I am still waiting for them to return my call. Nice, right?
I am local, live close by and don’t plan on going back.

This formerly elegant desert favorite has officially gone off the rails … the restaurant had 2 wedding receptions during dinner one on each side of the restaurant.. We got to sit through the invitations to toast the first dance etc. etc. the noise was deafening the food was good not great the prices have gone and the quality has declined We learned the restaurant was purchased by corporate entities last year… They obviously plan to post a lot of wedding receptions don’t bother eating dinner here unless you’re going to the wedding
