La Hacienda has a much nicer vibe than your typical strip mall restaurant. Our server was both personable and enthusiastic. Chips and salsa were excellent, getting us off to a good start. Ceviche appetizer was excellent. Things drop to 4 stars based on the entrees...though. Asada steak was only average. Relleno maybe a little less; despite using good cheese, it was overbreaded (actually a common complaint from me, no nothing outside of expectations there), but the chile was bland, lacking both Heat and chile flavor.More

It almost got five stars, but only because I am stingy with my stars. Excellent restaurant with really great service. Not sure if we were just lucky, but all four of us got loved our meals and the waitress was great. The drinks never ran...dry and she took all of our orders (and it was not simple as we all wanted something on someone else’s plate to be moved to ours) with a smile. PLace was busy, but got a table with about a two minute wait at the door. Food came fast and big portions.More

What a delightful first visit to this Mexican gem! We were able to get on the call waitlist for six people on a Wednesday evening. We were seated within five minutes of arriving, even though the place was packed, and there was a line. The...menu is huge, and all of us found the food to be excellent. Service was also excellent (Jason). We were on our way to a performance in Saddlebrook, and will certainly make this a stop for future performances.More

We visited La Hacienda on a recommendation of a friend. It was very busy and a wait to be seated- a good sign! If the food wasn't any good, there probably wouldn't be a wait. We would definitely dine there again. They do a lot...of to go orders!More

Restaurant was packed on a Wednesday night. We were seated after a brief wait. Chips were fresh & crunchy. Salsa was nicely spiced with a kick. Food came out quickly. Menu offers 'small combinations' & 'large combinations.' Cheese enchiladas, chicken tacos and tamales were delicious....Server was smart & helpful. We consider this excellent Mexican food & will return soon.More

Great food and service. Started with great chips and salsa. We tried the shredded beef burrito, chili relleno, and beef tacos. Rice and beans were also great.

Family of 4 all had fantastic food. Seems like this establishment is managed by people who really care. The service was great and everyone was very friendly.

The La Hacienda Margarita is great, and love, love the Portabella mushroom fajitas. Wonderful fresh salsa. If you are a Mexican food fan, you will love this place, it's our favorite!!

Atmosphere good, service good, food “very good”. My favorite Mexican restaurant in Tucson. Lunch menu is extensive and served 7 days a week. A real bargain.

Love the chicken mole....last night for $17.95 maybe got a half cup of chicken. Our Server..with salt and pepper beard, was terrible. Had to ask 3 people for drink refill( sign of poor management). They boxed up wifes pineapple dish and gave us back a...small portion of what he should have boxed. Terrible server..mgmt oblivious. 50 bucks for 10 dollars worth of food. We are loyal customers..at least till last night.More

We had friends visiting from out of the area so we selected La Hacienda because it has been consistent serving good food, reasonably priced with friendly efficient service but things have changed. We were seated with a few other tables being seated about the same...time. We watched as all the others were served and actually finished their meals while we waited. We saw a woman wearing a black blazer, assumed she was a manager and unsuccessfully attempted to get her attention. A woman who I spoke with while waiting to be seated got the manager’s attention, pointed to us and must have mentioned that we had not been served. The manager spoke with us then checked on our meals, she explained that because our friends ordered a shrimp dish it took more time. Our food arrived a bit later, mine was tasteless and cold, my husband and friends said theirs was okay. The manager stopped by to check on our meals the others commented that it was okay and she replied that it had better be or she would go slap “R____ “ in the kitchen. No one responded to her terrible comment. While preparing to leave a young employee cleaning the next table actually sprayed our guest in the face with cleaning solution. He asked that we not make a big deal out of it so we didn’t but will never return. What happened to this restaurant? It took an hour to receive our meals that were at best mediocre.More
