We had lunch here. Our waiter had an amazing command of the English language and used it to address all of us in unique ways. Our group tried a variety of sandwiches as well as the chili, all were good. The individual pies at the end though were our favorite.

I visited this restaurant on cold breezy day during first snowfall of the season at mount Lemmon and went in for lunch after a breezy chairlift to the top. Positives: 1. Location: Only restaurant at Mount Lemmon. 2. Decent Food: Not many options but the taste was OK 3. Friendly Staff: I gave one extra rating for staff Negative: 1.... More

This place was an interesting mix of sandwiches, German style food, and excellent pies. Had to wait about 25 minutes to get in on a sunny, snowy, post Christmas day. Nice fireplace burning in the middle of the place. Very friendly, eccentric waitstaff. No complaints about the food. Prices were not bad, considering we were up basically on the ski... More

Enjoyed our first beautiful sunny day trip to Mt. Lemmon. Kids enjoyed a family snow ball fight, photos of breath taking views. Warmed up inside the rustic Iron Door restaurant with delicious chili, corn bread and our favorite beverages. Great food and service! Be sure to order the berry pie with vanilla ice cream - it's faboulus1

We got to the Iron Door as they were closing and were delighted and surprised when they agreed to feed us. There were only two choices that late in the day so we both had the chili and cornbread. Very good food. the waitress was a joy even though it was the end of the day and we were made... More

Well we drove up the mountain so we stopped for lunch. We were seated by the window but view was only of trees. Service was awful with a waiter who I could not understand. We had chili with cornbread and sliders. For ketchup they hand you packets. The chili was good but overpriced. The corn bread was authentic but not... More

We had lunch here after enjoying the drive. We both had Chili and cornbread. Very good. Good service also, from walking in to time to leave. Only 44 degrees outside so the fire was a nice surprise. We sat close enough to feel the warmth. Wanted some cobbler but were too full. No complaints at all from us.

It seems if you want to sit on the cozy side with the fire place and view of trees you have to badger the hostess. At least that is what the group in front of us did, and others that followed. We didn't badger her, so we were set by ourselves on the side facing the outdoor deck. The waiter... More

The restaurant is located atop the Catalina Mountains and gives a warm home style feeling. With the fireplace crackling in the back round one might think they were in a lodge in a major skiing area. Casual dining, family friendly..
