I’m writing this because of utter disappointment for the place with the same name in Ambato Street now called NANIXE, hope they take action.
An absolute disaster… must read to the end.
I took my entire family from abroad to eat. I had gone in...the past many times. My first surprise is that they seemed to change the name on the outside to NANIXE, but the inside was the same (and the same name Parpadelle).
They seemed to have incorporated Mexican food to their menu, I was hoping the Italian food was decent…. Boy was I wrong.
First the waiter that took our order took forever to bring us drinks.
The food came out after 50 minutes, which was a total lack of respect to out family.
My brother in law was very upset, but he was completely pissed off when his food came out, it was terrible. His spaghetti was bland and no spices whatsoever and worse, it tasted sweeter that it’s supposed to. I had to hold him back not to toss the plate Gordon Ramsey style as he should have.
In addition, my cousin had the lasagna (he waiter around an hour for it) the same story with the sauce. He was very disappointed and left hungry.
Me and my wife had a caprese salad and a pizza. My disappointment, the pizza was burned in the bottom and some slices were inedible. It seemed they just tossed in the oven without cleaning it.
Same story with my other cousin’s pizza.
The only good side was my mom’s steak.
I was extremely ashamed to have taken my family to this place. I had to speak to the cook and tell him what was wrong. He apologized and said that he was sorry and that he was the only one in the kitchen and no one else in there had helped him, hence the delay. In addition, he recognized the flavors of the sauce and the pizza and lasagna were not what he was used to (why the hell did they served it like this and even charged us!?!?). Just with that comment I had grounds not to pay for the whole food, but we did anyway. I was even more upset because of the blatant lack of attention and accountability the cook and even more the owners of the place had for the service of their business. And to top it all out… the waiter tried to trick me telling me credit card machine was out of order, and after all I was not going to pay cash, I just told him to try it because I had no cash. And what a surprise it did work.
It’s a total lack of respect for the tourist and if no one is willing to take responsibility they should close business.
I wasn’t going to write a review as I was really hot headed then. But now more calmed I can be more objective.
I hope the owners read this and take action, either for accountability or just close this place, definitely I don’t recommend anything, food and service. If I could give 0 stars I would. Don’t even look at the menu. There are hundreds of better places to eat in Baños.More
