The homemade smoothies were the best in Ecuador! And the whole wheat rolls? Incredible. Eggs were peppered well, coffee was delicious, and the atmosphere was beautiful and quaint. Cutlery and plates were cute as a button. The owner was friendly to us - she could come off as abrasive to some, and did talk about American politics, but the food... More

Like another reviewer, I wish I'd checked the Tripadvisor reviews before coming here. I was lured in by the cute appearance, and the sign outside saying it was a Danish owner, so I expected the sandwiches would be made with Scandinavian style bread. Well the 'real' bread was just baguettes, and for two sandwiches, one juice, and two chai lattes... More

I never write reviews, but knew I must warn people after my experience. I stopped in what I thought looked like a nice coffee shop, only to be bombarded by the owner who insisted I MUST have her chai Latte. I ordered an overly priced sandwich for $9 (that came with only one thin slice of meat on an overbaked... More

First off, we should of read reviews before entering and saved us the experience. We were two family's (total of 9) with young kids/teenagers. The restaurant actually had a beautiful feel, and we enjoyed the different coffees on the couches with the gentleman serving us. They were fine. We then had lunch with minimal choice on the menu and picked... More

The rating is based primarily on the food, although the cafe itself is cute, spacious and music is chilled. The food was fantastic - such fresh bread and ingredients and very big. I ended up ordering a second sandwich for my bus ride the next day. Coffee was great too - not really surprising considering it's made by a Scandinavian.... More

The woman told us that hey have the best coffee in town... No it's not... Bad customer service and not very fast. Sorry for that

Long weekends in Ecuador mean touristy spots like Banos are packed, which is why we were excited to have a quiet cup of coffee. Our enjoyment of this cafe was short-lived. The muffin, coffee and atmosphere were spoiled by the arrival of the owner, who managed to accuse me of sitting in her spot, suggest that we are cheap and... More

Not much more to say. The sandwich was served on a baguette which was toasted way too long rendering it damn near inedible, the smoothie was overpriced and the lady was seriously unfriendly for no reason whatsoever. The Ecuadorian man that served us was pretty nice though. This place really sucks in a town with good food and drinks at... More

As soon as we came in, the Danish owner bombarded us with profanity laden English and seemed determined to tell us all about American politics, health care, etc. It's not a good sign when some starts a sentence with "I'm not a racist, but..." In a place where you can get FREE breakfast at your hostal or desayuno continental for... More
