A great traveler spot, lots of vegetarian options with a really varied menu. Nice people. Fun place. Juice, smoothies, Indian, Thai, Mexican. Owned by Marina, Ivan is also there a lot, both speak English. Outside seating is awesome. Also a good place to meet other travelers. It's in a quieter area of town and is worth hitting.

The best food I had in a long time! Try the smoothies! The Thai and veggie food is wonderful and also the atmosphere, open air and music!

Lots of different options here and very healthy. We had the chocolate shake, hummus & pita, and the Chinese noodles which were delicious! A good change up from typical Ecuadorian food.

Everything in Banos is so dirt-cheap compared to the US. This place was no exception. Everything we ate was great. Everything we saw other people eat looked great. Cook made fettuccine alfredo for me and enchiladas for my wife and the people next to us had thai food and other's american food. The mocha though...just buy one! If they were... More

A wonderful change from the usual fare, chicken and rice. My husband had the menu del dia, a delicious home made soup, juice and generous main platter with scrumptious quinoa, lentil and avocado salad, a potato spinach pie of sorts and fruit for dessert. My burrito with brown rice was wholesome and tasty too.. My eyes were bigger than my... More

We are a couple from Seattle traveling through South America and it has been quite difficult for us to find good, healthy food in Ecuador (we have also been to Mindo and Cuenca). We were very pleasantly surprised to stumble across this restaurant, which is similar to something we would see in the U.S. My partner had the trucha Cajun... More

I've been surprised by how flavorful Ecuadorian food has been, and this place lives up to those standards. There is a large variety of food for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians where you can try both Ecuadorian and other types of cuisine. We were a large group and the servers helped us order very quickly and get our food quickly as... More

Their menu implied the food would have more flavor than the typical bland Ecuadorian fare. The chicken curry sandwich had only a hint of curry in it. I expected better food due to the high rating on TripAdvisor.

We fortunately happened upon to Cafe Hood as it was right around the corner from our hotel. The menu is a collection of international dishes - we started with the mixed tempura (veg and fish), which certainly seemed like an atypical Ecuadorian dish but it was the best tempura we have had outside of Japan! I had a plato Andino,... More

What I really appreciate about the food here is the variety -- after having been living in Ecuador for months, I'm just a little weary of chicken and rice. I loved the falafel, fajitas were good, curry also good. Tropical smoothie was delicious! Nice laid back atmosphere. I recommend trying it.
