We had diner one night in this restaurant and we really enjoyed it ! I had a break from meat and parillas and I had the lasagna which was very good. The service was great and the waiter was very nice. The restaurant is closed in Wednesday nights.

Goulash goulash goulash. The waiter speaks english well and the goulash was... Speechless. One of the best dishes in calafate if not the best.

We ate here twice and really enjoyed it. The beer was good, the wine as well, the place looked really nice and the food was good.

The food was delicious. They make their own beers and they have loads of fun decor items to look upon. The lentil stew was especially good.

We went here because it was close to where we were staying and the reviews seemed pretty good. And it was! Veggie mousakka was great as was the lamb ragu/pasta. Prices are in between - $485 pesos all in with a pint of draft each. Not a bargain meal but we left full and satisfied. If you skip the drinks... More

They were about to close when I got there but the staff was nice and the food we ordered was good. The only bad thing was that when we ordered the artisanal beer Chopen it was tasting a bit sour. I had the same beer at another place and it was totally different (better).

The lamb stew was excellent and overall the food and atmosphere is worth a visit. If you're happy with a casual bar atmosphere then you won't be disappointed.

Had two course and one starter salad. The veggie moussaka was great (coming from a vegetarian) and the lamb stew with potatoes was perfect. The place has a 'pub' feel to it and is slightly out of town bit I would recommend it. The service was good and the cost came to 500 peso including a bottle of wine and... More

More like a bar that offers really good food, I've been to Esquina Varela a couple of times, always when I wanted to hang out with some friends. The food there is actually really, really good, especially the lamb stew (Cazuela de Cordero). We also shared an an other occasion a picada (a mix of different hams and cheeses) that... More
