Turned up without a reservation due to the TA reviews and weren't disappointed. Mi Rancho is very small but the staff are really helpful, the food very good (especially the lamb!) and the wine list great value for money

We didn't know this place had a good TA rating when coming here, we just looked through the window, looked at the menu and decided to go in. Our Spanish is a bit rusty, but we were helped really well with our choices of food and wine. The food was splendid, and the cozy living-room like atmosphere of the small... More

This small traditional Restaurant with a limited number of inviting tables surprises with excellent food. Speciality of the owners wife is a large osso buco. Pastas stuffed with king crab, fresh garden salads and sweetbread with wilted spinach on toast are no starters! They go for a main corse. Keep some space for the melting chocolat as a dessert. And... This is a very good, intimate restaurant, serving homemade like food. The service is fast and professional and the atmosphere cozy. I had the lamb stew, a traditional meal in Patagonia, and it was delicious. A good venue for a quiet dinner in Calafate.

A very small restaurant, but luckily as I visited out of season we were able to be seated straight away. Unfortunately my first choice of meals had finished but it was actually a blessing in disguise as the waiter recommended the usso bucco which was to die for! Friendly staff and warm and cosy atmosphere with lovely Patagonian wines. Would... More

I visited alone in April with slight trepidation having read reviews that suggested they don't welcome people travelling alone. Nothing could be further from my experience. I was made very welcome, the service was excellent and the food fantastic. I had lomo - cooked to perfection. Fantastic Patagonian wine that they recommended and the final bill was very reasonable. Fully... More

TA reviews are accurate. we chose this place over a sushi restaurant we chanced upon while looking for Mi Rancho. and glad that we followed our instinct. the lamb stew is the popular dish here and it doesn't disappoint. the serving is huge I have to ask for a to-go box. my husband also liked his ossobuco and finished it.... Had lunch here. Agustin gave us good service and was and friendly. Food is good too. Ordered pappardelle, chicken supreme and t-bone lamb. Portions are huge. We were given complimentary dessert - calafate (barberry) ice cream. Would recommend this place.

Its was pretty hard to get a seat at this small restaurant but as we had seen good reviews we decided to try. I do not have many complaints about the food, the setting itself was cozy but the guy waiting on our table was abrupt and unhelpful, and that is something we rarely experienced in 2 weeks in Argentina.... I had the lamb with calafate sauce and mushroom risotto, my boyfriend had the steak with yellow risotto. The food was excellent and the server recommended a good wine! The portions are huge- which is great after the Big Ice Tour!! The price was reasonable. We got some free ice cream at the end!
