A very small intimate place that looks to be converted from a tiny home. Menu choices limited but excellent, esp. the lamb chops. Reservations a must as tables are very limited but good friendly service and reasonable prices.

We enjoyed a good meal, with varied choices available. If I remember correctly, this restaurant only takes cash! I had a osso bucco that was very good and my wife had a chicken dish that she said was OK, but not great. The wine selection is fine and the service was also good.

Food is excellent and owners are friendly and accommodating. We started with an empanada (with spinach), which was so delicious we ordered another (with meat). Empanadas don't get better than this. We ordred lamb two ways: grilled lamb chops and osso buco. The gilled lamb chops were so amazing. Cooked perfectly and the most flavorful lamb I've ever had. The... More

Book this restaurant - they have two physical locations now - and the food and service are excellent. Go - you will not be disappointed. We were given the cold shoulder by the owner when we just walked in the first night, but the food on night two made up for it.

The food here is good-above average for our experience of El Calafate However they are very popular and clearly trying to pack two sittings into a small restaurant. Hence the rather rushed and over attentive service. They keep coming round to pour your wine -so you don't feel able to relax and enjoy the meal fully. The empanadas were the... More

Off the main street and tourist restaurants is where you will find Mi Rancho a small snug simply furnished restaurant where they let their food do the talking. We had pumpkin soup and lambs kidneys to start both very tasty and good portions. For mains tenderloin and the lamb T bone.Be warned these are not small portions! Contrary to recent... More

We heard this place was very good. It did not disappoint! We walked to the restaurant and arrived a few minutes before opening -7 pm. Fortunately, they sat us. Apparently, they have another location in the city, but I'm not sure where that is. I mention that because in the next 30 minutes there was a flood of about 20... More

We read a bad review as entering this restaurant so we were quite sceptic. Fortunately we had very good meat. The Ossobuco was excellent so as the rest of meat dishes. We had a good local red wine. We enjoyed our dinner very much and highly recommend.

It's inevitable to compare. Yesterday we went to Selic and ordered sweetbreads as starter. Did the same here and it was way worse than in Selic. It was not bad tough. As entree, I ordered a centolla ravioli; poor choice. At Selic I ordered a lamb ravioli with fungi sauce that was divine. Today my wife ordered trout; that came... More

Mi Rancho is a small restaurant which operates in a historic house of 1944. Its 100% homemade food is made from regional raw materials. The old clay oven where the bread is made and some dishes stand out. The place is small so it is advisable to book in advance due to the high demand season.
