We very much enjoyed our dinner at La Posta on our recent one night stay in El Calafate. We were especially grateful for its very high quality because the other wonderful restaurants that we had remembered from our previous stay in Calafate were all totally booked and unavailable. Thus, it was indeed very lucky for us that the hotel in... More

Regrettably, this was the most disappointing dining experience of our 3-week trip to Patagonia. Our experience with this restaurant differed significantly from those of other reviewers. La Posta Parrilla is an upscale restaurant in El Calafate, a major jumping- off point in Argentine Patagonia. The parrilla restaurant, which is affiliated with a hotel, specializes in meat and we had high... More

A classy restaurant set in parkland. The staff are professional, the wine list interesting and the food very well presented. The room is large yet it maintains its intimacy. As usual the lomo was excellent, more unusually it was seasoned and served with a sauce.

We chose La Posta to have a farewell meal with friends. The setting is gorgeous, set in lush green lawns & the restaurant itself is well laid out & spacious, but it all felt a wee bit stuffy & formal for a get together meal with friends, where we wanted to chat & giggle! The asado was delicious. Yes, but... More

This was the restaurant for our hotel, and provided a real fine dining experience. The lamb & risotto were excellent, as was the house malbec. The only downside is that in our 3 fine dinner there, we never got out in less than 90 minutes.

We chose La Posta for a farewell meal with a couple we'd met whilst touring Argentina. The location is beautiful, overlooking the stunning grounds of the Hotel Posada Los Alamos, the hotel to which it belongs. We found the atmosphere a little stuffy - perhaps a little background music would help warm up the ambiance? The staff seemed equally stuffy... More

We had some of the best lamb of our lives here. The staff was very nice and encouraged us to share an entree and not order too much food and like the title suggests the slow roasted lamb was amazing. The hotel also has a pretty good bar in another building if you want a drink afterwards. All and all... More
