This is a superb restaurant - food is excellent - recommend the stew in a pumpkin - super delicious and super filling. almost impossible to eat more than the main course, though we did our best with the empanadas to start - the downside of that was that we had no space for one of their wonderful desserts!

I went with my mum and a friend of her to this beautiful restaurant. The interior is super bautiful, all is really colourful and designed with detail and lots of love. Before the meal they brought us selfmade bread which was still warm and really tasty. We had some nice argentinian wine which was chosen by the garcon, really nice.... More

Patagonian lamb is something to behold. Pura Vida is a different restaurant in that it serves it in stew form as homecooking rather than roasted. This was an exciting prospect but overall the price and quality left me wanting. Cazuela de Cordero Patagonico (chopped lamb stew with pine mushrooms, black olives, onion in a white wine & cream sauce covered... More

We thoroughly enjoyed the warming pies here. Lots of options on the menu. My husband was disappointed that his chicken pie, described as having a puff pastry lid, had only a small lattice of pastry on top. The patagonian lamb stew was superb but more of a pie than a stew. Desserts are missable, pretty poor, lots of faults. But... More

This restaurant was recommended to us, and we quickly found out why. This restaurant is beautiful in its design and lay out. it ambiant and upbeat, yet very relaxed. The service was attentive yet relaxed, brilliantly balanced. We had been warned that portion sizes were good, so we only ordered mains. Prior to mains coming we were served with ample... More

We were a bit unsure before going in as the menu was somewhat unusual but the chicken pie we shared (the portions are huge) was some of the freshest food we had all holiday. Not your typical Argentinian food but would highly recommend.

Lovely Patagonian Lamb pie which is more than big enough for two washed down by a nice bottle of Argentinian red wine. Nice cosy, colourful, restaurant which I would definitely recommend a visit.

This was probably our best meal during our 3 days in El Calafate. Following the lead from other TA's colleagues, we ordered 3 entrees to share amongst 4 people since portions are big. We had the vegetable lasagna, beef stew served in pumpkin and a stir-fry dish with rice. The latter was not that great but the first two were... More
