Of all our meals in Argentina this was easily one of the top 2. We followed the advice of the May 13 review and requested an early seating, which really helped after a long day hiking around the area. La Salamandra is intimate with a small menu. The beef was amazing, and the vegetarian options excellent as well. You know... More

We were staying in Bariloche for a few days and this restaurant was recommended by our host. We were told to make a reservation because it is a very popular restaurant, especially with the locals. They responded quickly to a reservation request via email, but unfortunately, they were already booked full for the next evening. However, since we requested an... More

We ate here following a long day driving through the lakes of bariloche. The service was impeccable . Small menu which I like. Beef was divine. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening of dining. Highly recommended!

We spent three weeks touring Chile and Argentina and Salamandra rates in our top three dining experiences. The owner suggested my husband and I split mushroom bruschetta, empanadas and a steak, with salad, followed by a shared dulce de leche flan. All of this was paired with an amazing Malbec. The food was outstanding, the service down home and friendly,... More

Nice venue and owners. Good wine selection and very well cooked and good quality ribeye steak. The pork special was a bit dry.

Yes, the place is eclectic and cute. Yes, the owners are welcoming and provide fast service without being imposing. Most important: yes, their steak is to-die-for. It was, without doubt, the best steak I've eaten in my life. If this does not make you want to go there (make a reservation well in advance!), then, well... I can't help you.

Such a lovely little place, really cozy and full of interesting artifacts. The food is superb, I went twice, and had the ojo and the entrana. Both were superb, cooked to perfection and massive. And they come with a side of potatoes or salad, which you're free to mix and match. Price for the main was $260. They also have... More

In a very charming and cosy place in Bariloche, Renata and Geronemo have created an example of how a restaurant should be. La Pulperia is runned by themselves, and no one else. Simplifying he cooks and she serves the consumers. It gives a very interesting and memorable personal touch, but surprinsingly enough, with no disorder and confusion during the service.... More

We enjoyed an amazing meal here, the best of our 2.5 week trip to Chile and Argentina! We were 10 adults, and they were sweet to squeeze us in, as they typically only accommodate parties up to 8. The service was absolutely impeccable, and all the recommendations that were given were spot on. This is a small restaurant and is... More
