I've been through Bariloche many times, and Chez Philippe is one of my favorite eateries in the city. The dining room is warm and friendly, the owner / hostess / waitress is a sweetheart and very patient yet attentive, and the fondue is just spectacular. This will be a memorable experience, no doubt!

Bariloche is full of restaurants, but few capture the charm of small and quaint, and Chez Philippe does just that. The setting is a private home turned restaurant where you enjoy perfectly executed fondues and hardy dishes with great wine and service. We had the fondue with tomato and the fondue with bacon, both amazing and they have great wine... More

This restaurant is worth the trip. Although it is not far from downtown it may be a bit hard to find. The food, however, is excellent. It was recommended to us by a local and it did not disappoint. Not only was the food outstanding, we could not believe the price. The top kudos, however, are for the family that... More

This restaurant is a bit outside of Bariloche center, but worth the trip. It is located since 22 years in a nice house, which you do not recognize as a restaurant if the taxi driver would not drop you in front. There are just 7 tables and the service is great. The menu is limited, but nice. We enjoyed a... More

We ate here on Christmas, and nearly had the place to ourselves. It is in a residential area, so a taxi or car is essential. We shared the cheese fondue and the tomato fondue, with the cheese one being much better. The dipping items included bread, apple slices, tomatoes and sausages, nothing amazing, though. The steak with morel mushrooms was... More

Description
It is a small restaurant, with only seven tables with intim and warm atmosphere. A short menu with delicious dishes like the cheese fondue or the loin with morrels. Philippe opened his house like a restaurant in 1990 and his wife and daughters work with him. It is located in a residential and quiet area, only ten blocks from the center. A place to enjoy a good meal and a good wine.
