Patagonian hospitality in the heart of Santiago, authentic outdoor and indoor seating, beautiful lamb, try the meat cuts straight from the fire, classic on the menu, and the degustation desert menu offer tasting of most deserts. The portions are big!

Ocho cenas con tres amigas diferentes. Cada vez perfecta! What makes el Meson one of my favourite restaurants is the always recognised welcome, without raised eyebrows, and the relatively quiet dining experience in well decorated surroundings. Ever helpful with food and wine choices allied to excellently prepared meals with a Patagonian twist, el Meson sort of epitomises all that's good... More

we had dinner on a Friday night and booked a table at 21h. The place was not to crowded when we arrived. Our waitress arrived immediately at the table and asked something. We could not understand any word and I asked if she could speak English and asked 'drinks? '. She ran away to get somebody who could speak English.... More

Small cozy restaurant. The appetizers are great and the main seafood courses are fresh. The paejas are big enough for 2 or even 3 people.

Small restaurant, intimate, very cozzy, outstanding food, specially: "jamon iberico" and grilled "trucha" Owner is very gently and honest to advise about portion sizes and dishes quality. Excelent experience, very high level!!!

Our dinner was relaxed, absolutely delicious and the service was both prompt and charming. We will definitely return to sample more of the excellent food choices. We appreciated the complimentary fish pate appetizer and the mint liqueur finale. I hilt recommend this place.

Excellent dinner, the best we had in San Martin. Everything was prepared with care and exoertise, making for a delicious and relaxed evening. Go early for a quiet experience before the restaurant fills.

The charming, tasteful surroundings (and lightning) is only the beginning of an experience you won't forget lightly. The owner and his very skilled and friendly staff over-deliver throughout your meal. From little amuse-bouches to the aubergine starter to the main dishes (trucha navarra and an amazing steak) and the desserts, you'll be happy with every choice you make. In an... More

I entered thanks to this app. The place is stuffy an there is a peculiar smell lingering in the air, I cant quite place my finger on it. It is not game breaking but it lingers. The decoration is dated and the tableware is not impeccable. The service is great, the waiter is friendly, helpful and on point, always checking... More

Receipt of guests, attention of waiters etc is all very good. The wine list is long and not too expensive. But why not 'very good'? Simple, because the cooking is not up to top end level. For example: the salad 'El Meson' is named after the restaurant and than you do not expect (and want) pineapple from a tin, corn... More
