We came across this place on the off chance and were starving so we went for tea. Between the 2 of us we had a huge tea pot, 4 small cheese sandwiches, 4 pieces of white bread, 4 pieces of white bread, jam, marmalade and 2 of 7 different types of cakes. We see absolutely stuffed! We loved the decor... More

We stopped by the Ty Gwyn while on a tour from a cruise ship. We had tea with all kind of cakes and pastries. It was a fun visit and the had some nice shopping afterwards. This is a nice stop!

In Patagonia another tick off the bucket list .I recently visited this lovely tea room as part of a trip from a cruise ship.We had cheese sandwich and lots of cakes including Patagonian wedding cake .A local choir serenaded us with traditional Welsh songs . The waitresses wore heritage clothes which made the experience special. There were things to buy... More

Came here as part of a tour. The building is modern, obviously the cruise trade has let them expand the business considerably, so it is not really a cosy tea house any more. That said the tea and cakes were lovely and we were entertained by a local choir singing in Welsh and Spanish which was delightful.

We had been to Ty Gwyn after visit Rawson, trelew and Gaiman. These cities were settled by the Gauls and still keep traces of that culture. The welsh tea is a good surprise in this neighborhood of South Argentina. Be prepared to enjoy the tasteful tea and the delicious welsh sweets besides the Welsh Pie. The ambiance of the place... The visit to the town of Gaiman, about 80 km from Puerto Madyrn, was coupled with the visit to the Punta Loma Sea Lion rookery, part of a cruise shore excursion. The attraction was to learn about the Welsh settlers who made the Chubut Valley their home in the 1800s. Besides a drive around the town of Gaiman, we also... More

This stop was part of a shore excursion from our cruise ship stop at Puerto Madryn. My wife and I both enjoyed the the dark tea they seved which is grown in Argentina. They served scones and other sweet cakes and goodies as well as some cheese sandwiches with the tea. The treats were all sweets with the exception of... More

We stopped here as part of a shore excursion from our cruise. We were served a traditional Welsh afternoon tea with various desserts and biscuits. The staff were very friendly. The sweets were very good. I have no idea how much it would cost on its own. Ours was part of the package deal for the excursion. They also have... More

We were very disappointed at the attempted rip off at this restaurant. It is a lovely environment and the young lady who originally served us was very nice. We asked to share one of the set teas, which is incredibly expensive and have another cup of tea for my partner. They brought a platter of rather uninspiring sandwiches, tons of... More

Awful place, expensive bland afternoon tea costing close to £30 for two people for a plate of bread and cheese sandwiches and far too many cakes. The music was interesting and not in a good way, Welsh hymns playing when we arrived but it felt like a funeral. Sorry but this place is best left to the coach loads day... More
