We enjoyed the most creative meal of our trip at this lovely tapas restaurant. The small plates were all delicious and the service was wonderful. The dishes combine local ingredients with a global aesthetic. It was a nice break from parillas, and a chance to think about local ingredients in a new way.

Looking for a nice restaurant close to our hotel, and I stumbled across Bartz. What a find! Do drop in whenever you get a chance. We shared the 9 course menu, and a Salta Malbec, recommended by our really attentive waiter.

We went on a slower night, so we were greeted and seated right away. Our server was awesome! He did his best to speak in English and navigate our poor Spanish. He recommended a fantastic Malbec and we ordered 4 tapas, a salad (the tomatoes alone would have been worth getting the dish!), a ceviche, prawns in some delicious onion/green... More

Our hotel recommended this restaurant. It was very nice, a nice change compare to all the Parillas and meat restaurants. We are small eaters and had 4 tapas to share, wish is enough for us, a bottle of wine and water. Bill was around 420 pesos. The papas bravas, gyros and langoustines were our favourites. Went twice here During our... More

We were spoilt for choice with so many lovely restaurants in Salta. This one was tucked away a little, but lovely inside. The chef was very friendly & happy to chat about his experiences & what he is trying to achieve with this restaurant. We tried the sampling menu - very good & interesting, but we wouldn't choose this again.... More

We would not recommend the 480 peso 9 item choice as we did not like any of the dishes. The beginning dishes were very salty and had the same toppings of tomato and green onion held together with a cornstarch type gel. The calamari and octopus were rubbery and swimming in oil. The shrimps were overcooked. The fried potatoe dish... More

We literally just returned from our dinner at Bartz and could not recommend it highly enough. The food & wine was first class, a wonderful experience. We met the owner on our departure who stood out in the rain to hail a taxi for us. He couldn't be nicer, and gave us tips on vineyards in the area. Please do... More

We wanted to go out eating something after a long day driving but we could not decide what and where. With the help of TripAdvisor we finally chose the Birth Tapas. I like trying new food and this place didn't disappoint. We got the 480 pesos menu for 2 people and it definitely was enough food! We were stuffed! Lovely creative dishes and lovely service too.
