Well, it is difficult to explain how the place works. The place is a place to relax and wait for the best. At the beginning, at 9 p.m.and not after 10 (because is crouded) you get taking a taxi from the place you are (hotel or another place) and you point de streets where the place is. Is in caseros... Meeting friends at La Casona we had planned on dinner which was delicious but after a short stay we decided to continue the night along with a bottle of wine to soak up the live music being played at multiple dinner tables and in the courtyard. We arrived at 10pm to a nearly full restaurant with those arriving after us... More

This used to be an old big house where artist were gathered to sing folklore in the night. There were only empanadas back at this time. Now there is a bigger menu that also includes a very good parillada for two that actually can feed 3 people. The service ia a little slow and bathrooms can be updated. Also music... More

Loved Casona del Molino. Food was really good (although too big portions!) and the atmosphere was great. Lots of singing and dancing, really good/fast service. Would definitely recommend.

We were advised to go here by the owners of the B&B we were staying in (Casa Hernandez in San Lorenzo). It proved to be a great experience that I would highly recommend. We had just arrived in Argentina and the concept of late dining was still very alien to us so waiting for the restaurant to open at 9pm... More

Nearly backed out of the taxi on the way to this place as it was in the middle of nowhere. Super busy place but great love music. I tried the locro (stew) which was delicious and only 90 pesos (9AUD). Everyone else I was with had empanadas which they loved and the sangria was good too. Would recommend this place!

Great place for live music and fantastic local atomosphere. Nice food but nothing to be crazy about.

Very good food, really tasty and a different show in every room of the house. The people of Salta come from groups to this restaurant with their instruments ready to sing and dance to their rhythm. Very good and helpful attention. I recommend going relaxed, unhurried and willing to enjoy a good time surrounded by the folklore from Salta.

Location wise, it's a little bit out of city centre, but that fact shouldn't prevent you from checking this place. food wise, they offer excellent food at great prices:as an example, the bife of chorizo is just 170. It was perfectly cooked (Being Spaniards, we like the meat less cooked that Argentineans and the steaks were right on the spot).... More

If you preffer to sit in a table to watch a folcrore show go to another peña, but if you like the real peña experience go to La Casona: bunch of people playing the best versions of their favorite folk songs. Really good empanadas and guaschalocro.
