Live traditional music, friendly people, finger licking food.. can't ask for much. I stayed in the town for four nights and spent my evenings at the restaurant. The live music starts at 2030 hrs and goes on till mid-night.

We went there for lunch and tried two dishes of local cuisine, the stews of green potatoes with charqui (sun dried beef), and quinoa stew with meat and hot chorizo. Both were very good and big servings. The owner was around and chatting with the guests, friendly atmosphere. They also serve a local beer, Aymara (which was pretty mediocre). On... More

Nice experience and good food. It is a good option for listening live local music (every night) but a bit touristic. The music show was also a bit touristic but worths a visit! Also - good prices!

Let me preface by saying it has been a couple of years since I visited this restaurant. However, it has left enough of an impression on me that I'm taking time now to write a review. We visited on a Monday night to some amazing live entertainment. Given the type of entertainment, this establishment is aimed to please tourists. I... More

We visites Carlitos quite early (20.00) on Sunday evening. We decided to try all the different local starters, which were all delicious except the choclo con queso (Corn with lumps of cold cheese on the side. We had delicious local beers with it. When we left, there was still no music but altogether we had a wonderful evening. Very good... More

We enjoyed an excellent meal of humitas, picada, llama steak, beef steak, and pasta. The musical performers were very good. As is typical, the show starts fairly late in the evening.

There are a couple of resto-bars in Tilcara that have live music and this was one of them. You should catch the shows for an extra cultural blast. The food was good and typical Argentinian fare. They had some nice vegetarian choices including a good soup and squash dishes.

This place was packed! Attracted by the live, local music we enjoyed a good local food experience. They packed too many tables in though, meaning it was very tight moving around. Food was good and service was quick. We liked the selection of regional food and particularly enjoyed the llama empanadas and the quinoa stew.
