Situated just off the main square El Nuevo Progreso has a menu in both Spanish and English, however very little English is spoken in the restaurant. This unassuming restaurant serves very good food, which is well presented and is served hot. Between placing our order and its serving we were served complimentary toast and an Aubergine dip, all very nice... More

Quinoa crepes were remarkable. Complex flavors. Good vegetarian options. Nice soothing atmosphere. Highly recommend.

It's a diamond in the rough, way out of the way in Tilcara, but definitely worth it if you're in Jujuy. The steak was delicious as was the goat cheese appetizer

Well this was a treat. We needed somewhere to eat for our young daughter and in these parts of Argentina that can be easier said than done at 7pm! It wasn't what we were looking for as this place is a bit classy. Great food and atmosphere and the service from the staff was exceptional. Best restaurant meal for a... More

We were in Tilcara on Sunday night, and a lot of recommended places were closed. We liked the look of this place so picked it for dinner, and are glad we did. Service and ambience were warm and friendly - the setup a bit rustic mish mash (furniture all a bit diifferent) with a big wine list and candle lighting.... More

We've been travelling around Argentina for the last 3 weeks and this is honestly the best dinner I've had. I am however, a vegetarian, although my meat eating partner loved it too. Soups were wholesome and delicious, vege crumble and lamb were yummy and well presented, absolute Tannat was a splendid accompaniment. Service was warm and friendly. Art and candlelight... More

Lovely restaurant with tasty local style dishes. Atmosphere was great, even on a Sunday night. Extensive wine selection to suit all budgets. Definitely recommended!

Adequate menu. Prices are on the high end for the area. The restaurant is small and pleasant and the food was well prepared.

We were told by Jose (from Posta La Falda) "you have to have dinner at El Nuevo Progreso" in a rather peremptory way. But it was indeed very good advise! The old building was very welcoming and the personnel very friendly. Humita and tamales are highly recommended, but the highlight was the llama dish. Fantastic!

Thank Jose F
