I love Greek food and it is hard to find a restaurant that has great food. This restaurant has very good gyro plates. The plate was beautiful and very good. The salad had lots of fresh cucumbers, peppers, red onion and tomato with lots of...feta cheese. The gyro meet was very good. The basmati rice was perfect and the pita bread fresh and warm. Perfect. I also tried my husband's beef shawarma. It was very good also. I can't wait to try other items.More

Absolutely delicious! Went in for lunch, and ordered at the counter. I ordered the gyro platter. It was delivered to my table. This platter was huge! It included a Greek salad and yellow rice with a mound of delicious meat with sauce and pita bread....I found the restaurant clean and the team was very friendly. Definitely will be returning!More

If you've gone to "Mediterranean" restaurants in the valley, you know the normal setup for dishes includes rice, a salad, maybe some pita bread, and then the meat(s)...assuming you're ordering a kabob or shawarma. Gyro House was a pleasant surprise because each part of the...dish was packed with flavor. I'm rating this place 5 stars because while we didn't dine in, we did do take out and the food was still delicious. The greek salad that came as part of our kabob entrees was put together very elegantly with the adding of small green peppers which I'm not accustomed to seeing in a greek salad. The rice was packed full of flavor and my wife and I finished every bite of it. The Chicken kabobs and the Beef kabobs that we ordered was also full of flavor. Gyro House was a pleasant surprise for us. We used to go to a restaurant that was on Higley and Baseline that closed and haven't found a decent mediterranean restaurant. We will definitely be frequenting this place going forward. On a side note, if you decide to dine in, don't expect to be inside a fancy restaurant...but do expect to have a great meal. You also won't leave hungry with the size of their kabob entrees. Oh and the last bit is if you're ordering between 4:30 and 6, you may have to wait a bit for the food since they had a LOT of people ordering at the same time.....but they also use Door Dash if you want to stay home ;)More

My wife and I were looking for Greek while on a business trip in Mesa. We came across this little joint through Siri and headed on over. At the first look, we were skeptical. There were no cars in sight, and it looked deserted. I...looked it up on Yelp and say 4 stars out of over 100 reviews, so we decided to go in. WE ARE GLAD WE DID!! First, I will tell you that the sanitation of this location is top notch. The kitchen was clean (you could see into the kitchen from the front counter), the staff were hustling about sweeping and cleaning, and the bathrooms were immaculate. From a professional culinary perspective, this was like winning the Kentucky Derby. I ordered a 2 meat plate with rice and hummus. The beef kabob was very flavorful and the hummus was great. Their homemade tzetziki was very flavorful and set off the meal. My wife ordered the gyro platter and although the gyro meat was typically mass-produced, the plate was put together nicely and had a great flavor. We will be back to this location when in the area. The menu is huge and offers a ton to everyone. Pizzas, Sharma, Gyros, Cheesesteaks, etc, etc, etc.More

I'm obsessed with this place. It's near my house and I often pick up food to go on my way home from work. Their gyros are delicious but most of the time I order Greek Fries with Gyro meat. Seriously try it- it will change...your life!More

My first visit and looked forward to a health meal. Ordered salmon with salad to go. After a while I am told is they just ran out of salmon. So chicken shawarma would have to do. When it came, Jon P, she gave me baklava...to make up for cost the disappointment. Nice recovery.More

Went for lunch 4 adults, 2 kids. Lovely employees and very clean but the food was just average. If the pita had been warm, if the tzatsiki had been flavorful, if the ice tea had been fresh. Simply put, average.

We passed by at lunch time and thought why not. The atmosphere was bland but very clean. Service was friendly and the food was very good. I had a Gyro meat salad and my wife had a chicken combo plate and both of us would...do it again.More

I love the Greek pizza. No meat just lots of yummy! Cucumber sauce on top, three cheeses, olives and more. Everything we've tried was good. Friendly people and service. Nothing fancy about the restaurant but they continue to be busy and serve good Greek comfort...food.More

They have the best Gyros in Mesa. Super friendly owners, staff. Always clean. Now want to try the new pizzas. It's a once a week visit.
