How I wish the was a Rubios near where I live. I always enjoy them and never disappointed. Salsa is great and fish burritos superb.

This is a small place with a big personality! I ordered the specialty, fish tacos. They had cabbage and a sauce with it. It was really good, but I scraped the stuff off of the shell. It was really good. The beans were OK. The chips and salsa were excellent. Service was polite and quick. It seemed like fast food.... More

I tried the new Oaxaca shrimp burrito. Probably won't get it again but it was well made and tasty, I prefer the classic. I was with my family and everyone enjoyed their food. I will be back.

While shopping in the Mesa Riverview center, my stepdaughter and I came across this restaurant and were immediately impressed with its décor and the diners that it was attracting. Not being familiar with this chain we entered and ordered strictly on its appearance and the pleasant food fragrance. Julia Child often said that if an unfamiliar restaurant has a pleasant,... More

This is my husband's go-to quick eats spot when we're in AZ, as we don't have Rubio's where we live. The fish tacos rival anything we've had in full-service Mexican restaurants, but at much better prices. Although the interiors of some Rubio's need updating, the one we visit most frequently in Mesa near the airport is nice, clean, and has... More

I had the ancho citrus shrimp burrito and it was excellent. The sauce was great, and it was so good, I went back the next day and the same burrito again! Spouse had the fish tacos and were great too!

We returned to Rubio's because we wanted something that was fresh and not fried. The Surf & Turf combo fit what we wanted and we were very happy with the order. We'll be back.

Food is always fresh and yummy!! Great location. Staff is always friendly, and ready to help. Always a favorite place for fish taco's and shrimp taco's.

The Mesa Riverview location provides adequate service and consistent, medium quality food at a modest price. While certainly a step up from Mexican fast food, I would not go out of my way for this or any other Rubio's. Best I can say about it is, if you like fast casual, you like Mexican food, and you're in this part... More

I went here with my husband during our vacation, we love spicy food but this was a disappointment. We had burritos but they were really bland and flavourless, adding some salsa from the salsa bar helped a bit but it was pretty disappointing, I wouldn't eat there again.

Description
The first restaurant was opened in 1983 in San Diego by Ralph Rubio and his father, Ray, who started the fish taco phenomenon that spread across the nation. Today, Rubio’s menu has grown from The Original Fish Taco® to include additional chef-crafted seafood recipes that feature shrimp, wild salmon and ono. In addition to sustainable seafood, Rubio’s offers chargrilled chicken and steak, fresh made guacamole and salsas and sauces that are prepared daily.
