We went to Casa Ramos on Main St in Mesa in November after not having visited there for a few weeks. What a surprise! Very few familiar faces - apparently the owners have decided that it is the fault of the waitstaff and not the light rail construction causing a decline in customers. Big Mistake! The menu has shrunk and... More

Stopped by for lunch on a Thursday at noon and it wasn't too busy. There were 4 of us and even though the food took a little time to come to the table (It is prepared fresh while you wait) it was most excellent! The Green Salsa was superb and the Chili Verde was wonderful! The lunch menu portions were... More

We happened to go on Friday night and they have a really good mariachi band from 6:30 to 8:30. We ordered the pollo creama and chimichanga and both were absolutely delicious, as were the beans and rice. They apparently make their own chips, and the salsa has little bit of a chili taste, which I love. The atmosphere is traditional... More

On 9/20 had lunch of a chirizo burrito. While eating i watched the antics of a 3 year old girl climb in and out of her chair. Next thing i saw was all of the servers were bringing out plates of food. Meanwhile a server came over and took my simple order for the burrito. He apologized to me for... More

If you are sick of cookie cutter corporate Mexican food then Casa Ramos will be a pleasant surprise. This eatery has taken a crusty old Kings Buffet in Mesa and gutted it. The custom interior lets you know love is being served. I had Chile Rellano and Enchaladas which were just perfect, hubbs had Steak Fajitas which were wonderful and... More

Great Green chile burrito is awesome favorite on the menu. Go back often for lunch very inexpensive rice and beans are good best Mexican food around this part of the mesa....other than backyard taco. Both are 👍

All the hostesses and waiters and waitresses are friendly and attentive. Winter time it is really busy because Mesa has so many Snowbirds. If you have a larger party call ahead for reservations. Spring and Summer this is our go to place.

The food is good here. Not excellent. The flavors are strong but just different than you expect for each item. The staff you would think is all new. Not sure where to turn, we asked for more chips but never got them. We go back hopeful but are usually slightly disappointed.

Family dinner at Ramos tonight. Carne asada was outstanding.....very authentic in flavor profile and presentation. The chili and grilled green onions had a lot of heat! I love their Mexican rice and beans! Not the typical damp, flavorless tomato-based spanish rice, but a tasty rice sauteed with onion and spiced with cumin. Delicious! Will also recommend the intensely flavorful Chili... More

Read some other critiques of this place and thought the food would be better. I ordered the chicken taco/cheese enchilada combination AND a margarita! I've had great margaritas and although this one (blended) came in a large goblet, it didn't even pack a punch! The taco shell was very thick and very hard to bite into. The salsa was not... More
