My friend who lives in Gilbert introduced me to Nunthaporn's and I already want to go back. I live in Utah so that's kind of hard but I hope to return when I'm in the Phoenix area again. Our food was fresh and delicious. I...had Massaman Curry which was full of tender chicken and the sauce was tantalizing. I would have licked the bowl if he wasn't bad manners to do so. My friend had Pad Thai which was also very good. She told me she orders Evil Jungle Princess quite often so I'll try that next time. I wanted a good curry dish and was not disappointed.More

We arrived just after opening at 11:00 a.m. and were able to sit in a booth. Booths are along west wall and tables in rest of the area. Extensive menu. Prices are determined by which meat is selected, e.g. $10 for chicken, $12 for shrimp....Thai ice tea is $3.25. We always order Thai ice tea in which ever Thai restaurant we are dining. Food was promptly served with provision for mild or spicy. When you find yourself in downtown Mesa at lunchtime, visit Nunthaporns Thai Cuisine, although sign outside saying just Thai Cuisine, conveniently located just a few doors from Center St.More

Been there a few times and food was good but not extraordinary. After today I will never return. The restaurant hours are listed at the restaurant and website as closing at 3:00 pm after lunch and reopening at 4:30 pm for dinner. I arrived at...2:30 pm and was told they were already closed! Therefore the hours posted are worthless and they wasted my time. Way to go to anger a Mesa resident who has lots of Mesa neighbors. Had it been 2:55 or later I might have let it slide but if I'm there 30 minutes before a restaurant's posted close I expect them to be open. I will never return and I will tell all of my Mesa neighbors and friends of my unpleasant experience.More

We were going to a Symphony at the Mesa Art Center & we wanted to have dinner prior to performance. Excellent food. I don't like spicy, therefore, I had Woon -Sen Pad Thai with extremely thin bean noodles (which I love)! And my husband got...a Very Spicy dish, Jungle Curry w/shrimp. Very Reasonable! In fact, we are going again tonight with our friends!More

Stopped in with another couple for a quick bite before an event. Service was friendly but slow. They do warn you that nothing is prepared ahead of time but we should have come earlier then. Three of us ordered your basic Thai dishes and they...enjoyed them. I wasn't all the hungry so I just ordered chicken Sa-tay. Had to ask for a knife as it was impossible to get the chicken off the skewers. Very little dipping sauce given with it. Would I go back? Maybe if I was hungry and had the time to enjoy.More

My wife and I struggle to get out to eat since I became disabled and wheelchair bound. Nevertheless, at have been to dine at this little cuisine several times. However, yesterday, despite arriving 30 minutes before closing, and desire the fact that the open sign...was still on, no sooner had we arrived at the door than the waitress turned is away saying the restaurant was closed. This was quite troublesome considering the effort it takes to get to any restaurant on my condition and with my wheelchair. And my wife unloading me by herself. We will not be frequenting this restrauntanymore. The owner is a kind and welcoming woman, the female waitress is cold and we have only had disagreeable experiences with her. On another occasion, she pestered is so much to order, it almost ruined the experience. And despite so everyone to smile at her and warm up to her, no smile was ever returned. Maybe this cold demeanor is a cultural thing, but it's made for a more disagreeable experience for us! On yet another occasion, we called to get an important question answered. We called at 4:32. The employee that answered, probably this same waitress with the poor customer service skills would not answer any questions. She just kept saying,"we don't open till 4:30."I couldn't understand get because of her accent. I asked to speak to someone else. But she wouldn't put anyone else on the phone. When I said,"its4:32, she said, "now we are open. Lol How ridiculous! And frustrating!More

The lunch menu was huge and the dinner one is even bigger. We had excellent service and the atmosphere is pleasant. I thought the food was good, but not terribly unusual. However, everything seemed fresh and well presented, with fair prices.

Great menu selections...too many to choose but we found some great items....Papaya Salad was fresh and crisp and tasty....Chicken Puff Appetizers were great with...a Cucumber Chutney sauce-MMMMM! I had Pad Kee-Mao that was delicious and wife had Green Curry. We took some of both Entrees home and actually cound have shared an Entree and still been satisfied but so many good things to choose from...We will be back soon!More

If you come to this restaurant, do not expect for your food to come to you very quickly. I came here last week in a group of 5 and our food took ~45 minutes to come out of the kitchen. Now, granted, the dining room...and they were busy, but the child's meal came out much sooner than that adult's entrees. However, my food came out hot and there was plenty of it (pad thai w/ beef). Personally, I would not come here again, but I had an average experience.More

When my family first found this restaurant we were ecstatic. The food was great. Then the prices started going up, serving size down, and we could no longer count on the food being good every visit. Then, my sister ordered a dish she did not...like and when she told the waitress the waitress went and got the owner. The owner came out of the kitchen and started yelling at my sister about how good her food is. Ultimately, the dish was replaced with a different dish.More

Sat down for a quick dinner there before a concert at Ikeda Theatre/Mesa Arts Center for the first time - they even let me in a few minutes early. The food is great and the staff is very friendly and attentive. I had the Crispy...Spring Roll for an appetizer and the Shrimp 🍤 Paradise for my entree and both were prepared and served promptly and were very tasty. The prices are reasonable and the restaurant is clean and well kept - glad I stopped in for my first time trying Thai food here!More

We decided to go to this restaurant as it is near the Mesa Arts Centre, where we were seeing a performance. We will be looking for opportunities to go back as often as we can! The service was attentive (if a bit disorganized; at least...3 servers came over to take our order), and helpful. The food was fantastic! I am pescatarian (don’t eat meat but do eat seafood) and my husband is an omnivore, so we sometime have trouble finding and deciding on what we want to eat. This place had everything, including pretend meat and chicken (which I use often when cooking at home) as well as tofu as an option for just about all dishes. The veggie spring rolls were the best I’ve had in ages (4, cut in two) with sweet, but not too sweet and sour sauce. I ordered number 505, black pepper shrimp with baby corn, onions broccoli and a super sauce, and hubby ordered a yellow curry with pretend meat, potatoes and sauce (#604). We shared it all and though we enjoyed 604, 505 was sensational! There was plenty of food for us both. In addition we chose a Chilean Sauvignon Blanc with was terrific and not expensive at all! We had a reservation for 6 pm and the place was packed by 6:15 on a Saturday night! No problem getting out of there by 7:30 to make the performance. The restaurant is not fancy but clean and pleasant, thought the noise level rose as it filled up. We were happy to have asked for a booth. We will be back! The menu is extensive and we want to try it all!More
