I was told that a visit to Argentina is incomplete without a beef steak and that was what I did. La Lucia was the pick due to its ambiance and was absolutely the right choice. The portioning was generous for its price and the wine...pairing was superb too. There were 9 of us, all our meat orders were nicely done to our request, simply tasty and juicy at every bite. In contrary to what some had experienced, the waiters who attended to our table was super efficient.More

We arrived for dinner on Friday (a busy day) and we wanted to see the Show of the Vendimia (We were going to have dinner, not just to see) and we told the waiter that we wanted a place for two, he gave us the...worst table (we had a planter, which covered everything) even though there were other tables of two, he told us they are reserve we sat down (annoyed) and the worst THING ANYBODY USE THEM the despotic attitude and bad grace .... ruins this restaurant improve attention !!! because that's why I wouldn't recommend themMore

Very good steak cooked on parilla. Portions are quite large so one steak is often enough for two. Sides were also pretty good. Nice wine list. Lots of seating outside. Good service. Quite popular.

I live in Canada and we have pretty good restaurants over there, however the best steak I've had was definitely here. I ordered the Eye Of Beef and at 350g or 12oz, that sucker was humongous. It was cooked to perfection, exactly how I wanted...it - Medium Well. My fiancee ordered the Fillet and that sucker must have been a 12oz as well. She asked for it to be well done and they did just that. Both steaks were mouthwatering flavourful and super tender. The cost to quality ratio was definitely more then fair and I will most definitely eat here again, should I ever return. Argentinos like to eat a late dinner, we went around 6pm and it was quiet which we appreciated and got top service as well.More

The best filet ever.. cooked to perfection 70degs and served with a tomato and onion salad. A mention to Albert our waiter who did a great job and helped in selecting the wine Malbec from Bianchi.

Outstanding Argentinian steak coupled with a local Malbec. Great atmosphere overall. Waiting staff was very courteous with timely service.

This restaurant is a fantastic spot in Mendoza. I had the ribeye, and at it was so good, slightly charred on outside and red inside, as requested. Perfecto. The tables were nice, and we enjoyed our wine (good list of selections), for some time there....They were busy but had a lot of wait staff.More

Nice, cozy and comfotable restaurant where you will have the chance to taste a delicious and well cooked argentine lamb. I highly recommend this place to have an unforgetable dinner in the beautiful city of Mendoza.

On my first night in Mendoza, this restaurant was well recommended. It’s an old-style Argentine steak house. Very nice. The Malbec wine in the photo was great. I ordered an “Ojo de Bife”, medium rare, and it came out cooked to perfection. It was huge!...Very tasty and worth eating it all. All of the salads and side dishes were great too! Our server was friendly and did a great job. I have seen some posts here regarding bad service. I went early, before the dinner peak hour. This restaurant gets packed... it’s good and reasonably priced... That’s when service can slow down. Overall, it was a great dining experience. Now, I still don’t know who is the famous “Lucía”..!! Will have to return...More

Three stars is generous, but honestly this experience seemed fairly typical for an Argentine meal with respect to the service, food quality, ambience and overall experience. Service was fine but food took a long time to come out. I thought this would mean the food...would be fresh but I found it mediocre (see more details below). The most bizarre part of this experience was that when we paid our check, the server added his own tip—and he gave himself a 29% tip. I’ve traveled all over the world, and have never had a server add their own tip. Especially since everywhere online seems to say that 10% is standard for restaurant dining in Argentina. It caught me by so much surprise that I didn’t say anything but it really comes off as dishonest. My friend had the gnocchi that came with bacon-wrapped chicken, and she ate very little of it. I tasted the gnocchi and though it appeared to be hand made, did not seem fresh and was firmer than it should be. I got the spinach ravioli topped with beef. Again, while the pasta appeared to be homemade, it did not taste fresh. Overall the food was over salted and lacked any more complex flavors that I’m used to having in a good pasta dish. Ambience: the restaurant has an appealing looking area on the sidewalk to eat al fresco, but we were solicited multiple times by the less fortunate for money and food. My advice: avoid this place.More
