This is the most typical restaurant frequented only by locals (at least on the two weekday nights we had dinner there) that we experienced during our 4-week travel through Argentina. Although noisy, it is good fun because of the atmosphere created by the live local music, interaction with and participation of the patrons. The food is good, but not special.... More

Alfonsina is a great place to try real Argentine food. The place is very nice, not sophisticated but clean and with good decoration. The price is good and the quality too. Milanesas and Empanadas are a must. It is a good place for locals or tourists.

the place is a bit small, tables are too close to each other, so you cannot really have privacy to have any kind of conversation. the food is allright but no great

A tad bit expensive but it holds onto the Argentinean style. The service was a little slow and the place feels crowded, but it was worth it.

We enjoyed a nice lunch of empanadas and sandwiches in the center of town near the Jesuit Block. It was recommended to us by a friend who lives here and it is not touristy.

This is the only place we found one of the most delicious humitas ever. Its not your typical humita either...its a stew of corn, cheese and other delicious things!! So amazing. The atmosphere is incredible too..clearly a place locals come to socialize, catch up and drink mate! Highly recommended.

Arrived around 10 PM for some empanadas and other meals. I knew going in it seemed loud from across the street. But in we went and went to the back. All empanadas are horno (baked). No Frito. We ordered various meal items three different times and each time the length of time to table delivery was longer and longer. It... More

The food here is so so good no matter what you order, I went there 3 times during my trip! I found the staff to be very kind and helpful even when there was communication issues with languages. I love the atmosphere of the place as well as the decoration. A visit to Alfonsina while you are in Cordoba is... More

Slow service: Took 45' from the moment I arrived until the pizza arrived. The pizza was served warm, not hot. The waiter did not came back to my table again (not even to give me the bill). So, I had to take my pizza to the front bar to get it warmed up. Then back to pick it up. And... More

I was there during the nacional celebration of "25 de Mayo". The place was packed but it was completely worthy. There was also a local singer playing Argentinian folklore songs. I asked for the typical Argentinian plates served in the place: Locro and Humita. The verdict: EXCELLENT!!
