We only stopped here for a couple of drinks, I just loved the place for its atmosphere. The black and white tiles and the high ceilings give it an air of very old school Buenos Aires bar. They do have a cocktail menu that looked interesting but when we visited the barman hadn't showed up so no one else knew... More

A typical old bar in the centre of the city, with good service, excellent picadas, and good location in Defensa Street. IdeAl for a Sunday when the market is at its peak. They take credit cards.

We went in here twice in the afternoon on a weekday. We loved the quirky old decor, and the fact that it was full of locals. You can stay as long as you like when it's quiet like this, and it is a great place to people watch out of the window. The waitresses were lovely both times. We ate... More

Situated in San Telmo, straight by the Sunday market, this café has soul. It is a charming place, has a varied menu with reasonable prices and wifi. The staff was friendly and effective.

We were seeking out to try a legendary Argentinian steak. It is a lovely family owned place with a sampling of a traditional food, my steak was a bit too dry and over cooked but in all over it is a nice place to indulge ourselves into some local cousin.

Randomly rolled through this place while waiting for the interminable passage of time that is the prelude to BsAs boliches opening... Felt like I was thrown back in time, and it was really cool. Given the ambience, I decided to go for some traditional fernet drinks, which don't taste so great, but when in [BsAs]

We came here because it was one of not so many places open on Sunday night. The "Greek" salad was not really Greek, but was excellent never the less -very fresh and interesting. The "fish of the day" was grilled salmon, and it was by far the best fish we've had in Argentina. The steak (Lomo) was predictably good as... More

We stumbled onto this bar while walking through the San Telmo Flea Market. The beautiful wood paneling, the antique metal work remaining from an old pharmacy, and good food and wine combine to make this a really special place to visit
