Well, we went in with high expectations and left disappointed. The Risotto was under-cooked, the Alfredo Sauce was just not right, and the meal was average. The price was high, to add insult to our taste buds.

We went to La Parolaccia for a relaxing sunny day lunch and sat on their outdoor patio along the Puerto Madero. Good thing we planned on relaxing because the service took almost two hours for two courses of lunch. But the food was great. We started with Caesar salad with salmon (lox) with capers and Parmesan and then shared pasta... More

Lovely location, could have been better, I'd advise elsewhere as there's plenty to choose from here.

There are so many great restaurants on the sides of the river in Puerto Madero. We wanted Italian, as we had had so much Argentinian on our trip, so as we were walking we just stopped at La Parolaccia. Yes, there were some beggars that came to ask for money, so you feel compelled to hold on to your bag,... More

I decided to go for a mid-range range location and based on TripAdvisor I have chosen this place. First, all three La Parolaccia restaurants located in Puerto Madero on TripAdvisor are the same, why not join them??? It wasn't bad, but there are several things to improve and the 4/5 rating I consider too high. Waiter was impatient (or nervous?).... More

We had pasta at this restaurant which was recommended by other ratings here on TripAdvisor. Food was good, service was good - just the dishes could have been cleaner. We can recommend this restaurant.

Upon entry, you are greeted and offered an alcoholic drink. You are then held in the reception area while they allocate a table to you. It was lunchtime and we could see quite a few tables, but were held for around 10 minutes. We were then shown to one of the empty tables that we could see. We then waited... More

The Melanzane is a must and for the Tiramisu lovers: this is your place to go. I visited during lunch time and was presented with a 3-course meal option that was very affordable (approx. $25 person). It was two of us: ordered six different plates (two appetizers, two entrees, two desserts) and none of them disappointed. Plus the portion sizes... More

Wonderful Italian food…extensive menu …not to be missed when you're in Buenos Aires! All 4 of us had different dishes & each was excellent! Coming from the northeast US, the food at La Parolaccia can stand up to any good Italian restaurant in the US or Italy. Good service, clean & crowded…go early without a reservation, or be sure to make... More

It was so good we went back a second time during our vacation. Quality of food, taste, old school service and charm combined with reasonable pricing make this place a can't miss for dining when in the northern suburb of Belgrano. Easy to find too as its directly on Libertador Avenue.

Staying in Puerto Madero

Neighborhood Profile
Puerto Madero
From its refurbished red brick buildings and port cranes to its modern skyscrapers and luxurious apartment buildings, Puerto Madero is the perfect combination of old and new. The river provides a quiet, relaxing atmosphere that contrasts with the hustle and bustle of heavy traffic just blocks away. Across the river, flanked by skyscrapers, are beautiful parks and quiet streets that make this neighborhood a unique destination in a city as busy as Buenos Aires. The restaurants, bars, and nightclubs on the docks make it a prime spot for nights out and have come to symbolize this area. Puerto Madero is even more striking after dark, when the lights from the docks and skyscrapers glow against the night sky.
