We shared excellent sweetbreads and then a very tasty steak. The salad with watercress, boiled eggs and carrot seasoned by the waiter was top. The wine list is complete and good. The service was quick and friendly

Visited for our last meal in Buenos Aires, and can say that we had a good meal. The meat and Provoleta were great and we left with a sense of having eaten well. Seating outside is good during the lunch hours in Spring.

The carne i ate was very good (tip tenderloin) but not something you can't find better in few other similar restaurants in BA and in same or less money. the side dishes which is mostly variations of french fries is oily and not quality though not cheap. The desert home made apple pie was bad and expensive.

This place had the best meat I tried in buenos aires. The meat is prepared as wished and of great quality. A bit crunchy outside juicy inside. Nice wine list and you can sit inside and or outside. This is really a good place for meat.

This is one the top steaks that I have eaten. We enjoyed great steak and great wine all for a great price. Make sure you bring you appetite as the steaks are huge. We still talk about this great meal months later.

Our concierge recommended this place as one of the best steak houses and we are so glad we went. Thankfully we made a reservation as when we arrived at 9.30pm it was full and they looked to be well-heeled locals - always a good sign. The place was bustling with activity but the noise level was not so loud that... More

A bit more formal than a parradilla, but still a nice atmosphere. Try the sweetbread, great starter to share. The beef was awesome, and they have a nice selection of wines. Very nice! The place was full around 10.00 so reservation is recommended

If you want a to make sure you get a great argentinean steak, go here. I've been going to this place since 1999, and nit has never failed me. The waiters are part of the history of this place. Ask them for recommendations. My favorite menu: Starters: Empanadas, mollejas (bien crocantes) y chorizo Main: Ojo de bife, asado de tira... More

Excellent meat and side dishes, nice ambiance and wine list. Meat was very soft and well prepared (asado de tira) and french fries are quite an attraction. its was the opposite experience compared to El Mirasol Puerto (same food chain, however in Puerto was really bad)

We we visited the restaurant following an advice from the hotel. The Metr'dotel was very rude and threw the napkin on my wife's place as a start. I thought it was my bad interpretation and let it go. Than the waiter told me they do not not have wine by the glass after i have ordered one simple glass of... More

Staying in Retiro

Neighborhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighborhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
