I'm giving this restaurant two stars based on the food only. The service was friendly and attentive. If you're looking for a mediocre, very touristy experience - this is your place. The Argentinian steak was flavorful but very, very tough. My husband ordered a ribeye steak - the photo shows the portion of the steak that he was unable to... More

Was here for lunch last week. This is more of a local place than a tourist place. This is where the Porteños go to eat, great Power Lunches for business meetings, elegant, yet subdued, great service, great wines and a fantastic menu!! The wine selection was outstanding, the restaurant was full at lunch hour. It was not my first time... More

The rib eye steak was really succulent. it was cooked perfectly at medium rare. Good ambience and also has a good wine collection. Though pricing is considered on a high side, but it is worth the money. Services provided was excellent too. Will definitely come again when I next visit Buenos Aries.

Tucked under the autppista and just off the widest avenue in the world, this is a truly great steakhouse. The lomo - sirloin - is delicious. Love to wash my beef down with a Trumpeter Malbec or some Quilmes, depending on the mood. Been here over ten times Ina decade. Always great food.

If you want to have meat this is the place! One of the best in Buenos Aires to eat great meat! Service is excellent, food is great and location is excellent too! When the weather is nice you can sit outside. Very good for lunch or dinner! One of my favourites!

Very nice restaurant in Recoleta with large selection of steaks. We ate there two evenings in a row because the steaks were perfect. First evening we had Special Steak and the second Minion Steak and both were so good. And also the waiter (which was younger men-we sat in a corner) was extremly friendly and professional.

One of the finest in Buenos Aires. Traditional style and ambience, great service from hugely knowledgeable staff. The menu very broad, must be every cut available❗️ Quite delicious. Excellent wine list and quite reasonable prices. Looking forward to my next visit.

My son and I were traveling and went to El Mirasol on the recommendation of our hotel. The service was attentive, food excellent and ambiance very nice. We had a sausage for an appetizer, then split 2 different steaks upon the recommendation of our server. Plenty of food and very good. Thanks for a great evening!

Pleasantly surprised when we walked into a local steakhouse underneath the 9 de Julio bridge right by the Four Seasons Hotel in Recoleta. The bife de chorizo a punto with a mixed salad, parmsean cheese and balsamic salad dressing along with provezal frites with a nice bottle of Cabernet/Malbec wine were absolutely wonderful. The service was great both times we... More

I have seen this place many times and never stopped in. My mistake. Very good meat, probably the best chorizo I've had in BA. The ojo d'Bife was EXCELLENT - very juicy and flavorful. Very good bread basket as well. Didn't care so much for the Milanesa breading - way too dry. Not nearly as expensive as I thought, though.... More

Staying in Retiro

Neighborhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighborhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
