The meat was dry and was not as good as expected for a Argentine type of meal. It is very touristic, but not so good if you want to try a good meat!

The place is usually packed, the appetizers were good and the main were OK. In my case i had the "Milanesa" it was nothing special for the price, my mates ordered different stakes and all of them were over cooked even when we asked them to be "Jugosos". In general, I think it is a little bit over rated considering... More

The meat at La Cabrera is just wonderful, taste and texture. Also, they have very good side that come with the meat. Staff is also very nice. Friendly and dedicated. Worth the price, although it's not so expensive.

I had read about this place for ages from tourists from the US so I had a pretty clear that they have a wealthy-touristy clientele. Being a Monday and a holiday, there was no other place to go except this and Don Julio (at least you have to give them credit for being business-minded). The place is nice, very good... More

It is a nice endroite in Palermo Soho the IN place in Buenos Aires for a few years now. There is always a waiting time no matter if you have a booking. A South American booking that is! LOL Many years ago they offered Moet Chandon while waiting outdoors. Today only fruit juices and bites of cheese and jam. Once... More

This is a very nice place in Buenos Aires, the place itself is full of history, it is not a luxury place but fancy. Food is excellent, waiters are extremely caring, they explain every dish, every part of it, and the best, when our waiter met us he suggested us to share the dishes, as they are very large. Every... I found much of the steak in Buenos Aires unseasoned, though all have been tender and good. This was not the case here. The steak was perfect. Mine was done more than I liked it and they brought out a new one immediately. This steak was perfect. THe wine list was fabulous! Like most places, there is no emphasis on... More

We were initially worried after hearing that this place was very touristy but actually the food was very good - food steak, chorizo, tasty sides and good wines. And very reasonably priced. Gets busy so book. Yes the 7pm happy hour deal is true!

This restaurant was suggested by our hotel staff. After visiting the Japanese Gardens and Arcos we made our way to La Cabrera. Unable to secure a radio taxi we made the 45 min trek by foot and it was well worth every step!! The place inside is just adorable. Crowded in the most charming way. Our waiter was called Hugo... We went for the 40% off deal, (you need to arrive at 7pm promptly to enjoy this as the restaurante opens at 8 officially and then its full price). Must say that without the discount we would probably not have gone there as it is rather pricey. But with 40% off it certainly was a good deal, although even that... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
