A tasty parilla (grillhouse). My partner and I enjoyed dinner at La Cabrera recently. The food was great (and overflowing). We thoroughly enjoyed sharing a 600g steak - very nicely cooked. The staff were able to communicate reasonably well in English (although I didn't expect them to make that effort). Having been to some more laid back local restaurants though,... More

Waiter assured us that one of the group being coeliac wasn't a problem. We were served a lovely meal of steak and many side dishes all of which were gluten free.

This place is small but service is excellent and the food is simply mindblowing. We asked for a steak and it came with a series of small pots with a series of sauces, smashed pumpking, and other complementary ingredients. We thought it would be a very expensive meal but at the end it was not as expensive as we thought!... More

Excellent "steak house"!!! Try the Ojo de bife (20 oz....). The atmosphere is quite relaxed, the servers very gentle and helpful, and the prices super reasonable. Only point I did not like: the sides are not great. A place that definitely should be on your list if you swing by Buenos Aires.

We arrived shortly before 7 pm and there were 4-5 tables of diners already seated. We ordered a large oho de bife to share - 600 gr (turns out 1/4 was gristle and fat). The taste was pretty good but there was no chimichurri sauce. It's a good thing the free items were free. I would not have been happy... More

A little research will let you know the restaurant opens for dinner at 8pm, but with a local tip off, we found out that if you get there at 7pm, just as they're setting up, there's an early bird seating. The best part, it'll be 40% off your whole bill, wine included. You do get given your bill at 8pm... More

There are places to eat fantastic steak in Buenos Aires but La Cabrera really is one of the best. We waited outside with a glass of sparking before getting a table here and the food was second to none. It's a bit fancy, which is fine if that's what you're looking for. The steak was served with a good selection... More

This amazing restaurant offers and assortment of especial food, but the meat is unique, every single cut is a delicatessen and like magic, vanished in your mouth without a hard work and complements with a good malbec Argentinian Wine that last all alone this extraordinary culinary experience.

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
