We had a great time at La Popular. The waiter was friendly and prompt and contrary to other reviews, they happily accepted my Canadian VISA card. The steak was huge and tender, cooked medium rare. The grilled vegetables were plentiful. Malbec was well priced.

We had lunch at La Popular del Soho today. Let me summarize: Ambience: Nice, I liked the soccer theme Service: Terrible; we waited forever for the waiter to show up and I needed to remind him 3 times that I wanted to pay the bill....More

This restaurant looks so nice from the outside and the interior is nicely themed with football shirts and memorabilia throughout. When we arrived we were told: no payments by debit or credit card, unless it was an Argentinian one. Thankfully we had USD on us...More

Couldn’t get in to the very highly rated place across the road, so tried “la popular”. Should have stayed home as meat was tough, and parilla brought to the table had no embers to keep food warm. Service staff ok, but they can’t fix the...More

The worst chorizo I’ve ever had in my life, we tried empanada de carne and was also really bad, Service is ok but they can’t improve your experience only with service.

The environment here is unusual, mainly decorated with football memorabilia. The service is casual and friendly but not very slick, we needed to wait quite a while for the food. However, when it arrived it was really excellent. I ordered a fillet steak sandwich with...More

I arrived at the restaurant around 8pm. I was the second person to get into this place. I ordered an hamburger number 2 of menu. It was quite expansive for the composition but it is ok. First thing was: I didn’t request the cubierto as...More

We wanted something simple close to our hotel on the first night, plus there were massive queues at Don Julio at 8pm on a Monday. La Popular had a “grill for two” that we were planning on two of, but the waiter advised that it...More
