I always come to guidos when i travel to argentina and everytime I get amazed by the variety of types of liquor at the bar in comparison to other resto in bs as. The barman/owner Guido makes the best drinks in the wholee district of Palermo. The atmosphere is great, you just feel you are in a bar in the... More

We not only enjoyed the food but had the best service from the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out. Both the wine and the food was brought to us without a menu and there was not one thing we did not enjoy. We were disappointed to not have time to return a second time.

We had dinner at this place many times, and it is always a good experience. Pasta is good, as is the service. I wouldn't say "the best pasta in Buenos Aires" because that is a very personal thing, and being Buenos Aires a very big place wouldn't be realistic. But nonetheless the pasta and the sauces are very good. The... More

A very nice cantina, with drinks a wide selections of wines and great service. The guido´s Lasagna is my favorite in the world. Excellent for a late dinner, you can stay after for a few drinks.

I have tried some Italian restaurants in Buenos Aires, and they are very good here. But Guido stands on top of them all. The food is not only great. Also, it has that home feeling that it seems that it was cooked by an Italian grandmother, or nonna. Service is very good and they are always open to give you... More

This place looks like Buca de Beppo (US chain) on the inside, kinda funky. However, the food we had was terrible. All four of us thought our dish was one of the worst Italian we've ever had. I ordered a fungi pasta, which was just grocery store penne, plain cream sauce and maybe a little truffle oil. The tomato sauces... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
