I first ordered something off the menu and although the restaurant had the ingredients, they refused to create it. This is one of my pet peeves, if you have the ingredients, you should make it according to the customer's wishes. Then came the order, Spinach Croquettes, when I ordered Spinach Ravioli. I chalked it up to my poor Spanish and... More

We shared an eggplant parmeggiana for starter which was a success ! I picked the salmon pasta as a main course , simply good . The red wine we picked was fruity and reasonably priced. The waiter was nice and service was quick. Recommended

We arrived early and was lovely to see so many local families eating here. A good sign in my opinion. The menu had a number of tasty dishes suitable for vegetarians (which we are). The spaghetti and spinach ravioli were tasty and flavoursome without too much garlic! The dessert was amazing too. Attentive but not over whelming waiting staff. A... More

As she walked home last night clutching her full belly, my daughter proudly proclaimed, "I think that was some of the best pasta I've ever had!" She tends to have a flair for the dramatic, but I have to agree that our meal at Appassionato last night was delicious. Because we had just arrived to Buenos Aires and forgot about... More

This is a good neighborhood pizza place. The wood burning oven in front draws hungry pizza lovers like moths to a flame. The crust is thin and cracker crunchy, toppings generously applied and plenty of cheese. It makes the large cloth napkins a must have. Salads are large and freshly prepared. It would be nice to have a salad or... More

I had a very nice dinner at this restaurant. The terasse is very lovely with jazz music in the backroung creating a relaxing athsmophere. Moreover, the pizza was delicious with fine pastry as I like. i recomand it for a nice and lovely dinner in Palermo.

Late on Sunday night in Palermo (the night before a holiday), the first couple of restaurants we tried to go to were closed. Along the way, we passed Appassionato which was definitely open and looked pretty cute from the outside. So, after strike two, we decided just to go to Appassionato since we knew it was open. Everything was good... More

The place is great. The pasta is what you need to order. The service is good, the meal we both had was excellent. I would recommend it also because the prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere is good specially for family reunions. I would recommend the place to improve its wine offer, specially in quality. The wine menu is a... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
