We picked Miramar based on a combination of proximity and reviews. The location was accurate. The very good reviews had no relationship to our experience. The service was sullen at best, a rarity in friendly Argentina. The only positive about the waiter was that he...More

I am mystified by the good reviews. Who wrote these? Nothing was good, from the indifferent waiter, to the over cooked chicken(tasted like yesterday’s reheated), to the glued together overcooked ravioli. It was square stuff so I assume it was ravioli. But ravioli usually has...More

This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend, so glad we did stopped by. Old fashion restaurant away from the tourist area. One of the owners ended up been our server. We started with the house wine, excellent. For an appetizer we had the...More

An excellent alternative 'local restaurant or bodegón' in Buenos Aires. These 'bodegones' began as small grocery stores and later evolved into great restaurants. Miramar has a unique menu, including ranas and rabo. Their wine list is also very good. Highly recommended

I stumbled by chance into this old (1950) restaurant. It's modest in appearance but very popular with middle class Argentines. Luckily not a single tourist in sight. If you venture just 10 mins from the tourist hot pots you can have a wonderful culinary experience....More

The best price/quality nearby, great place, superb Spanish food, better in cold weather A little off the usual path, but not far from Congreso, not to be missed

I see that there are controversial opinions about this restaurant. Our experience, we were 3, was good. We arrived early and with hunger so we asked for a "tortilla de papa a la española" a sort of patato omelette which came very quickly and was...More

Food taste was really bad, serves cold and not well heated. They seem to prepare the dishes by using microwave. The strudel desert tastes terrible, with the contexture of a rubber. Not coming back never again.

this would be one of the places. A traditional older restaurant with lots a character. Menu on a old wooden clipboard, ham/pancetta hanging from the ceiling, and lastly, American music playing through their speakers. The oxtail was a little dry, but tasty, and the shrimp...More
