Catalo is the real deal for seeing an authentic tango show that is classy and not "touristy" we had trouble booking on line but were easily able to get tickets locally after we arrived in Buenes Aires. It is not overwhelmingly big so all seats are good, but request the front of the stage or the side because the tables... More

The Tango show was very good. Although the locals could find it perhaps too tourist-oriented, it is a well balanced performance. The show is totally in Spanish, so the non-Spanish speaker might miss a bit. The food, although not gourmet, is surprisingly good for this kind of show.

We were recommended this restaurant for a Tango dinner show by our hotel receptionist at the Broadway Suites. The asking price was 55 US dollars a head. It turned out to be a bargain. Private transfers were included, as we're unlimited drinks throughout the evening. I an normally disappointed with theatre meals but here the main courses were excellent as... More

This was my first tango show, so I have nothing to which to compare it, but I was extremely impressed. The meal was above average, the service very good, and the music and dancers spectacular. Even the lighting was well done, and I enjoyed the slide show of tourist sites in Buenos Aires and around the world and famous Argentines,... More

Seems to be off the tourist track. Reasonable food followed by an excellent show. The tango band provided some amazing sounds, and watching the audience reaction to the singing and dancing gave an insight into the subtlety, and importance to them, of this art form. I went in thinking that a tango was a specific dance, but left realising that... More

I visited Cátulo Tango in July, 2012 and was extremely impressed by not only the professional performance and incredible talent of the tango dancers and singers but also the amount of food served. The food was delicious, more than ample items to choose from and the presentation was beautiful. The service from the hostess and waiters was excellent and I... More
