Today was my third visit to Damblee, which has some awesome oysters; however, twice now the service has been sub par. The waiters were not wanting to serve us, since it was almost 4pm. Ended up getting up and leaving. The food is definitely worth the visit, hopefully they can improve the attention.

Went here because the Peruviaan restaurant close by had a huge line outside. This is the only restaurant I went in Argentina that had lousy service. No welcome, no smiles, and the waiter only showed his face to serve the order. Looks like the type of restaurant where the money always came easy and the owner has not checked in... More

This restaurant has it all. A great bar, a wine cava in the basement, wonderful service and the best seafood. The waitress was very helpful with suggestions and made accommodations as we had one person with food allergies on our table. You must try the "Rabas" (lightly breaded and fried squid rings) and the "Vieyras" (scallops) on azafran. Everything we... More

The restaurant is not located in an upper class area: not in Recoleta, nor in Palermo. It is close to the Once train station. The ambience is similar to one of those good French Restaurants to have in Paris: classy, yet not pompous. The fish is excellent. We had a combo of seafood as starter, a dish of centolla, another... I had an oyster appetizer and a pasta cream sauce. It was pretty good change of pace given I was eating steak pretty much every day. Nothing mind blowing though. Nice atmosphere, as well.

We were staying at the Pavos Reales B&B and this was the best restaurant close by. A neighborhood bistro with great service, big portions, great wine selection, and a nice atmosphere. Food was great - fish and meat. I wouldn't say gourmet, but fantastic for a neighborhood eatery. An upscale nice place to dine.

The service is good and the ambience is nice, but sadly the food is very poor. The bread was stale, the salad was droopy and the mussels were dry and salty. And to top it off it's pricey. I regret coming here and you will too. Stay far away.

If you're a sucker for old world charm, new world wines and great food this restaurant is a sure thing in a city full of good food! The atmosphere is a great combination of Italian family restaurant, elegant Parisian brasserie and solid Buenos Aires dining. We tried a number of dishes from the grilled prawns, to the boquerones, to other... More

Go for the oysters and the ambiance, don't bother with the main course. It's wonderful to find an affordable restaurant that serves oysters (there are 2 to my knowledge, the other in trendy Palermo is waaaay overpriced). We went for a special occasion and were treated very well. The oysters were excellent but the main course and dessert was disappointing.... More

Good seafood is a rare find in Buenos Aires but this is it. Gambas al ajillo, lightly fried calamari, fresh halibut a la vasca. Good wine list and cocktail bar. The neighborhood is a little odd but let's just call damblee an oasis.
