Bad service. Pasta was not avaible on a friday, even it was suggested on "today special" When we asked for the bill, they tried to charge us for one dish more worth 100 pesos

Oh my god, the pizza in this restaurant is delicious. LOVED IT! We also had empanadas, which were great. Good location in Recoleta, close to major attractions and our hotel. The service was great and reasonable prices.

Went to Cala as we were staying a stones throw away from it. My friend and I decided to go with the mazzazos and they were incredibly dissapointing. The base was dry and stale and the cheese was not melted. Just tasted bland. To be fair the prices were cheap and judging by what other customers had the pizza may... More

We were staying at Arc Recoleta Hotel and this great restaurant is a five minute walk down the street. They have great food and great drinks. Everytime we were in Buenos Aires we went there for our meals and was greeted and served by a lovely Lily.

I have been staying close by, but just noticed Cala Pizza (CP), and decided to give it a go. As I entered I was immediately noticed it was full of families enjoying their Friday evening dinner. Service is very friendly, and my order arrived quickly. The pizza I ordered was wonderful. If you find yourself in Recoleta wanting pizza, you... More

Nice selection of local beers. Have daily specials that are very good. The pizza comes in many varieties - if you need pepperoni, order the salami, it's very close. The empanadas are good too. This restaurant is close to the Arc Recoleta Hotel which is a choice place to stay. The wait staff is friendly and service quick.

We really enjoyed the pizzas, my two children had plenty of food choices to choose from. Service was good and fast. We went back twice after that for lunch and supper.

Excellent service and a really welcoming warm atmosphere. Not an upscale place, just really homey and lovely. You can order the pizzas half and half if there's two people with different tastes (though they charge you for the more expensive option) nice crusty thin base, just the way we like it. Super affordable and the service friendly & excellent. we... More

The BEST empanadas I've had in the city! Nice pizza. Fabulous menu del dia -- wine, lunch, and postre for $5!

Staying in Recoleta

Neighborhood Profile
Characterized by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighborhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centered on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
