Very swanky restaurant at Puerto Madero. Refined dining with great view. And very expensive, of course.

This was by far the most expensive meal I had in Argentina but unfortunately the food didn't live up to my expectations. Chila may be one of the top 50 restaurants in South America but in my opinion it doesn't rank close to good restaurants in the US or Europe. Cost is comparable to good restaurants in San Francisco/London. +Really... More

Apart from the loud American guy that spoke at 20 decibels so the whole restaurant had to listen to his b.s. We didn't like our table as the husband had to face the wall but we booked late. And actually we were very pleasantly surprised by the warmth of the service. The 3 course menu is 1300 A head not... More

There's a reason this restaurant shows up on top lists of cuisine in Argentina. Excellent food. Our three-course meal was top-notch. They were able to accommodate gluten-free easily.

Visited a few years ago. Make a reservation and request a table with a view of the water. An elegant environment with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. A perfect place for a date. My wife and I enjoyed a happy dinning experience. We were treated very well by the Chila team. The food, drinks and dessert were all outstanding. Their tables... More

Three of us hand the smaller three course menu yesterday. All of the food was interesting. There is crunch, smoke taste and interesting textures. What delicious combinations. We had the wine maridaje and they came to explain and it was wonderful. Great Puerto Madero location, beautiful river views - mine was a business dinner but it would have been a... More

I ate alone at Chila on a business trip and just wished I had my husband with me- we are both foodies and it did not disappoint, right up there with some of the finest restaurants we have visited... Relaxing environment with friendly staff too (thank you for keeping me entertained Sebastian and Victor!)

Wonderful evening courtesy of Chila. We did there three course tasting menu. I was surprised how much I liked a potato dish as my starter. My duck was perfectly cooked and looked amazing on my plate. Cheese service done by Victor was top notch. And to top it off with a perfect soufflé, what a night. Another great memory from... More

Staying in Puerto Madero

Neighborhood Profile
Puerto Madero
From its refurbished red brick buildings and port cranes to its modern skyscrapers and luxurious apartment buildings, Puerto Madero is the perfect combination of old and new. The river provides a quiet, relaxing atmosphere that contrasts with the hustle and bustle of heavy traffic just blocks away. Across the river, flanked by skyscrapers, are beautiful parks and quiet streets that make this neighborhood a unique destination in a city as busy as Buenos Aires. The restaurants, bars, and nightclubs on the docks make it a prime spot for nights out and have come to symbolize this area. Puerto Madero is even more striking after dark, when the lights from the docks and skyscrapers glow against the night sky.
